Switching to Eur spec taillights

Hello everyone!

I moved back to my country in Europe from the US. I brought my GLC 300 with me.
I need to do some modifications to comply with the law, the first one is to have my turn lights to amber. I brought my car to a dealership and they told me that they do not do that kind of job, and the official message is that I need to complete rewire my car WTF!!
Is there anyone who tries to install a EUR Spec taillights on their GLC or is there any way to change the turn light to amber? I saw many posts but not with GLC.

Thank you very much!

Since when has the US not had amber turn signals? I've never seen that on any GLC.

You are right. I mean the rear turn lights, they are red.

Mercedes started going towards red turn signals (shared with brake lights) back in the 2014 E-class. This is not a simple procedure, unfortunately. The US cars do not even have LEDs in the place where they should be in Europe. You'll need euro spec lights and then the pins won't match, so you will have to do wiring. And then coding.

Good luck.

This blows my mind. Red indicator/turn signals would constantly get confused with brake lights. Must cause heaps of accidents. Glad Australia has stuck with amber turn signals (front and back).

Friends brought an E sedan in from Canada a few years ago. The car had to be delivered to a shop that specialized in US conversion and obtained the US spec certification before it could be registered in US. It wasn't inexpensive. There must be shops there that specialize in the conversions. It is not a DIY job.

Not possible man. Here's why. Euro has an Amber strip and wiring to the left of the reverse light. For us Americans and maybe some others, we have a plastic strip. Hence, a rewiring is necessary.
