Planning to buy GLC coupe 300 4matic 2018

Hello everyone,

I am planning on buying my wife the 2018 certified GLC coupe 300 4matic. She loves the car and we plan on going on a test drive very soon. The dealer has the price listed as 41,995 of course I plan to negotiate that price down some. My question is do you all believe this is a fair price? After conducting extensive research I believe it is but I'm sure I can get the dealer to bring down the price down some. Any suggestions on possible maintenance plans or extended warranty? As of right now the car is certified and if i'm not mistaken the vehicle manufacture warranty will be good until in 2022 or 50K miles which ever comes first. With that being said we may get the extended warranty after the certified warranty ends, which from my understanding kicks in after the manufacturer warranty? We plan on keeping this vehicle for a long time and suggestions would help.

It has low miles for sure, so that's good. From the pictures the car looks nice too. I like the options as well. Negotiate it a bit and the price seems OK. My only concern is that a new SUV with all the tech that is faster can be had for a similar price...

I just received word few minutes ago that the vehicle was sold unfortunately. I am curious you mentioned you can get a newer version with more tech for a similar price. I have been looking (GLC coupe) and it’s hard to find anything with similar options for that price range. I will keep looking, but thank you for your feedback!

Not sure if some extra data will help, but I just purchased a 2019 GLC Coupe 4matic which is pretty much identical to the one you shared (except white) with 15k miles and I paid $47k. However I did not attempt to negotiate much and did not spend much time seeking better deals. It was one of those "just feels right" decisions.

For a little bit more, maybe $5 to 10K, you should be able to get a 2020 model. Not sure the options would match.

I agree and that’s what makes it even more compelling going new. Even though it’s a bit more so from the budget I set aside, however for the value it’s great decisions decisions lol.

Hard to go wrong with new. Especially when diff is only a couple grand.

And you own it and get to break it in, and there is no risk of having an owner who abuses the vehicle.

If you want it done right, do it yourself.

How far down do you think you can get this? Seems like a perfect match for you!

I'd be curious to hear thoughts on net price. MSRP $59,430...

On my deal, I am seeing invoice +$500, $3000 off MSRP, and $4200 off MSRP being offered.
It's interesting to me that dealers are using discount off MSRP. All my previous deals have been relative to invoice.

Do you think 5% off MSRP is common?

Price is quite high, which means a 5-10% off is expected. If your dealer is nice, maybe 15%. That car has 9K in options, so maybe some of that is unnecessary...
