Baltimore VPC Delays in 2021

Hello,

I ordered my GLC 300 back in October and the car arrived at VPC on 12/19 (Baltimore). However, it’s still in VPC Received status ever since. How long before it’ll be released being a P1 vehicle? My dealer is not helping with updates or giving any ballpark timeline. Could someone please help? Anyone in the same boat?

Thank you 🙏🏻

Could be awaiting recalls or updates? Not quite sure other than the holidays what is delaying your shipment.

that’s what is worrying for me as it’s not delayed but just received. Means they haven’t even started working on it yet.

COVID cases at the vpc have hindered operations and causing delays.

yes, several. But they’ve not started processing the vehicle yet. Dealer said 60 of their 2021 cars are waiting at Baltimore.

I sympathize with you having to wait.

Thanks bro. Waiting is the worst part. Hopefully they’ll figure the broken supply chain out soon. 😄

so my car finally arrived last week and I canceled the BMW order that I’m regretting now. I had all the packages installed but it cane without Handsfree access, spoiler, AMG Rims, Wireless Charging etc. what a load of bull****. Salesperson was not giving straight answers. They promised to install everything and I’ll be getting the final delivery tomorrow. No discounts or anything given for the inconvenience. Very disappointed with Mercedes service

What the? Sorry for your experience. Hope your car comes out with everything you wanted... Was the MSRP lower on the car without the options? Just wondering

thanks man. I just picked it up yesterday and it’s in the state it should’ve been on day 1. And yes, MSRP was around 52K without the options. After everything I added, Out The Door price was $69800 for me.

70 grand for a 300 or a 43? Insane! Did you check literally every box? For a 43/63 that is reasonable...

yeah that was a lot. I regret not getting the 43 amg lol. Final price is including tax title fees etc. I got all the packages, running boards, door lights and the whole nine. Tax itself was around 6 grand.

Let us know how long it takes to get yours. I’ve got a 43 that’s supposed to go into production on the 15th. Just curious how long it’ll take to get delivered after it’s complete. Thanks.

the incompetence is with MB USA delivery system. Europe is great, very efficient at building the cars in time and shipping them. However, They sit on VPCs a long time.

here is my time frame for reference - ‘21 glc 63 suv.

Deposit down - end of november ‘20
Received slot and po # - early december ‘20
Decade planned - ‘21/02-3
Decade scheduled - ‘21/04-1
Production started - April 1st
At port but no ship - 04/03
Assigned ship - 05/12
Ship day - 05/13
Ship docked in Baltimore - 05/28
Arrived at dealer lot - 06/04
Paperwork - 06/07
Delivery - 06/08

Total of 7 months, which is not that bad considering the pandemic and the chip shortage. The longest part was waiting for a ship. As you can see it took almost a month and a half and i think thats the most uncertain part.

Delivery day was absolutely amazing though!!!
