Engine off and listen to radio? How?
I can't seem to sit in the car with the engine off and listen to the radio. I thought I have in the past but for some reason, it now gives me a warning "Start Engine See Operator's Manual"
How do I keep listening to the radio when I'm parked and the engine is off?

Firstly I would say your battery ‘reserve’ is low and would benefit from an external trickle charger like a Ctek brand for AGM type batteries.
Second, depending on your year model, in the centre consol beside the mini wheel there is an M button, or similar marked button that turns on the radio and media function.
All will turn off if battery goes too low.
Another trick is to turn off, open the door to complete car profile, then shut door and press the M button. Radio should work and all other electrical functions like external lights will stop, giving you more battery range.
But I feel your battery needs a good boost from an external charger, driving it will not be sufficient.

Yes “M” button was incorrect, looked today and it is the round symbol button with a finger coming out of it !!
Opening the door after turning off kills other electrical drain, then hitting the round symbol turns on the radio .

Yes, Power button on side consol, not the start button on dash, which also has an accessory mode, but I do not use it.

I had a 2014 E350 Cabriolet that displayed a low aux battery message and I believe, a low battery message (main battery). It never gave me a message about playing my radio under any circumstance. You would think that in the much newer models there shouldn't be the problem that you reported. There also should have been messages about low batteries.
I would be inclined to agree with Teckno that replacement of one or both batteries might be in order. Go to a business that sells auto parts. They will test and install your batteries for FREE!
