Full Size Spare Tire - GLC 2022 Based on this review.

Came across this review, the salesman shows and describes full size spare tire. I thought the spare tires are donut size but apparently not.
At 2:45 min in to the clip. Does anybody have one?

The spare tire kit from MB is not a full size tire (defined as matching size, tread pattern and rating). It is a compact spare wheel with jack, tire chock and gloves.
I recommend adding a flashlight, road flares, tire inflator, and a block of wood to put under the jack in soft conditions.

2018 GLC 4MATIC
I would add one more thing which saved my *** when I was about 50 miles away from decent size city with my family. I had spare and RFT but use this kit and plug is still there a year after.
Its just 7$

Well, if you're going to make a temporary repair, add a pair of pliers to pull the object out of the tire.

Was it a special order item? What year is your GLC?

My Space Saver spare was not part of the 2016 GLC.
I bought it from Mercedes . It was an option.
Also purchased the jacking kit.

Spare Tyre was AUD700/- and jacking kit was about AUD150 back then. Don't think price change as much since then.
I believed parts number has been superseded.
Don't waste your money on the wheel cover.
It takes up space and I don't use it, unless you going to put it above the boot cover. I had to deflate the tyre slightly to fit underneath boot cover. Otherwise, can't close it fully.
(That's why I have a portable compressor in there as well)

Hi, Re MB spare you purchased - did it come with different wheel lugs/bolts to cater for steel rim, not alloy and were lugs shorter in length ?
Do you recall part number and ET ration stamped into rim? Actual tyre size and markings, especially date made, in oval with something like “ 2019” indication week 20 in 2019.
I have to order a tyre from USA for BMW as Continental stopped selling size in Oz, might be cheaper to import 2 tyres, one BMW and one MB ?
Thanks

I did ask about the studs, but MB told me that the current studs will fit.
Looking at the rim, seems correct.
< My previous GL320CDI has different length studs for space saver >
I have attached few photos. Hopefully that will help

The tire he calls "full size" is the tire we call a donut. He goes on to mansplain what he means by "full size", a/k/a "lying".
