I was today old….. heated seats and heated steering wheel.
So today was the first day I’ve gotten in the GLC on a really cold day since we bought it.
To my surprise, when I started the ignition, both heated seats came on and the steering wheel heated up. I wasn’t even aware I had heated steering.
How do I set that to do that all the time during winter? Is it part of the pre-climate entry control?

This is something new. I am not aware of the heated seats and steering wheel automatically turning on. Even if you remote start the vehicle, they do not turn on like other manufacturers do.

I was shocked too. I know it wasn’t anything I did because the passenger heated seat was on also.
imagine my shock when I didn’t even know I had heated steering.
I need to find out why and aww what happens tomorrow.

I start my wife's GLC most mornings, and I turn on the heated seat and steering wheel manually. If that could be automated I'd use MercedesMe app instead. Edit: I searched the forum and you're the only one who has used the phrase "pre-climate entry control"....

Oh? I'll have to see if my GLE does that and see what the GLC does as well. I recently noticed a glow right below the display screens on my GLE but that was because I changed the LED to changing colors. I previously had it as red all the time.

we have beige interiors so the ambient light is set to an amber shade and the red light stands out.

In my GLC, when you twist the knob to turn or turn off the heating, a message pops up on the virtual cockpit stating heated steering is on or off. It only stays there for like 5s or so before it disappears.
