Windshield Wipers Recommendation

The OEM wipers are noisy since day one, especially when the windshield is not soaked with water (e.g. washing mode or heavy rain).
It doesn't seem like there is any issue with the wipers themselves, I've noticed the same issue on other brand new GLC that I had the chance to drive, most likely just a cheap rubber quality.
Any recommendation for wipers that fit and are smooth and silent?

I think Bosch Aerotwins (2 blade package) is your only choice. If you find another type, please let us know.

I believe so. OEM blades could have gotten sun cooked during transport/dealer lot.

Just replaced my wiper blades with Bosch AeroTwin A242S # 3 397 014242. They come in a package of two blades: Driver side 600 mm/24 inches; Passenger side 550 mm/22".

Bought them from O'Reilly Auto Parts, $39.95, free shipping.

See: https://www.oreillyauto.com/search/v...e+-+3397014242

Also available on Amazon for $49.70

see:
Amazon Amazon

The removal of the old wiper and installation of the new one took about 20 seconds per wiper blade. It is a direct fit/replacement. So far extremely happy with the way they perform.

You might try clean the windshield pretty well with a good degreaser or cleaner.

If still noisy, then apply RainX on it. Wipers slide easy on the RainX applied window.
also, you can drive without wiper turned on at highway speed. Longer lasting wipers too.

Agreed. I've tried all kinds of things. But Bosch is the way to go. I still have some skips and chatters but not that much.

How about 2022 model?

I have a 9 month old ‘22 GLC-300, also with noisy wipers. The OEM blades look very minimalist and non-rugged, especially for our Maine winters. I wanted to upgrade to one of the Bosch models like ICON or Aero, but the Bosch site has no wiper model listed for the 2022 model.

I see that another forum member found a set that worked for his GLC, so I wanted to ask is it possible that MB changed the wiper arm design in the last year or so. I’d order that set from O’Reilly, but want to make sure it’ll fit first.

I can’t believe I can’t definitively find a Bosch wiper for this car! 🤨

I recently switched to PIAA SI Tech wipers for my 2020 GLC and have been happy. OEM wipers are crap.

2022 both blades are 22"

You will find that on the 2022 GLC300, both wiper blades are 22" long.
Might want to buy single 22" blades.

I followed tisi_03's recommendation and ordered Bosch AeroTwin wipers (part A843S), which consists of two 22" wipers. They fit perfectly onto the wiper arms of our 2023 GLC-300. I bought them from O'Reilly Auto (http://oreillyauto.com) for about $50 and am very happy with them. They don't chatter like the OEM wipers and clean the windshield better also!

Wow, not sure how you found the Bosch Aerotwins, because all the auto stores here on the west coast are out of them. However, I just found a pair on eBay Canada, and including shipping it was only $43.88. So if you're looking for these wipers everyone, eBay is your friend!

see post #7 above: I realize that this may not be the correct forum, I have an 2019 E450, but I too got my Bosch blades from O'Reilly Auto parts.

It’s not the blades, it’s the angle at which the blades are hitting the windshield. They need to be as close to 90 degrees (perpendicular) as possible. This can be an attained by adjusting the angle by gently bending the arms little by little. Search YouTube and you’ll find several videos covering this. Here’s a link to the first one I saw:

Came here to say the same thing. We've been inundated with people suggesting the wrong wiper blades for current model GLCs. The Bosch model #3397014242 OE blades are a 22" and 24" set. Current model GLCs take two 22" blades, so the Bosch model #3397009843 is the one you're looking for if you want the Aerotwins.

thanks. I’ve had the hardest time with Amazon, Autozone and others not knowing what fits a 2022 GLC. Even Lastvin can’t decode my VIN.

The Bosch website shows part #3397009843 contains two 22” blades. https://www.boschautoparts.com/p/oe-...in-3397009843-
My new 2022 GLC does in fact have two 22” blades. You’re incorrect in stating that “Current model GLCs take two 24” blades”.
