X253 - How many miles do you have?
I stumbled upon a similar discussion in another forum and thought it would be a great idea to kickstart something similar right here for our MBs. While forums naturally tend to focus on problems, let's also make sure we mention some positive aspects of our experiences. Though I am not sure how many people keep it to high mileages.
So, I invite you to share some details about your vehicles, including the year and model, as well as any repairs you've had to undertake. It would be cool if we could keep this thread alive and updated throughout the lifespan of our vehicles.
If you would like, use the following format:
- Year / Model / Current mileage
- Repair History
Feel free to add any years/models.

- 2018 GLC300 4matic at 77,800 miles
- Repair history: The only repair was for the P052E PCV valve at around 57k miles. Got the car at 57k miles with no history of any previous repair. I’ll keep posting at every oil change or at least every 10k, and maybe when it dies as I plan to drive it until it does.

They were both covered, and luckily I had bought the extended warranty because they happened after 4 years / 50k
170,000 miles
2022 SL 63 (R232)
4,200 miles
If they outlive me, I estimate the SLK won’t get to 200,000 miles, yet still have at least that many miles left in it.
I estimate the SL won’t get to 50,000 miles.

bought new 2017-01-27
126k miles
HUD replaced at 29k/1.5 years (covered under warranty)
New battery at 79k/5 years
PCV valve assembly replaced at 93k/6 years (retroactively reimbursed under warranty extension)
Otherwise, normal maintenance following schedule
P052 Vent Valve replaced at 37,000 under warranty
Replaced Guide Tensioner/belt at 48,000 miles one week before the warranty expired
Fuel leak on a fuel line under car near driver foot area at 49,500
P052 Vent Valve replaced again at 55,000 out of warranty
Have had 3 of the 4 door handle LEDs go out. One repaired under warranty, replaced 2 of the others myself (dealer charges $700 to replace these)
Had one of the sunroof rail clip attachments break at around 60,000 miles. Instead of spending $2500 or so to have dealer replace both roof rails, I ordered a 3-D print part from a guy in France who figured out a way to make a part that you could fit in the rail and twist, thus able to make the repair without removing the headliner and rails (it turned a 6-hour repair into a 5-minute repair and it works)
Just got a reimbursement check for about $1250 or so from our dealer because MB extended vent valve warranty to 15 years and the fuel line warranty was extended to 10 years.

My trusted independent guy says most likely cracked hose and they are extending the warranty in the US to 150K miles. But when I called the dealer they were non-committal (although did not deny).
We have a letter about the extension on the low pressure fuel hose.
Any experience on this? Was your PCV code fixed under warranty?
90k miles
Solid car. Only repairs were a sunroof operation problem 3.5 years ago and a low pressure fuel line leak that was replaced free of charge 1.5 years ago. Truly an amazing vehicle that we can rely on to use for a wide range of duties - daily driving, long highway drives, etc.
