car battery failures in 2004-2022 models across the Mercedes-Benz vehicle line
I have a no start on my vehicle 3 times since new. Under 9k miles. Today they say that they don't find anything wrong with the vehicle. The say i don't drive it enough for the battery to charge. The suggested i place the car on a trickle or maintenance charger.
very disappointed

All three of my cars do less than 9000 miles per year, and the SL gets parked for 4 months in winter, outdoors under a car cover; no battery issues on any of them*. Contrast that to the many cars I drove in the 30 or so years before I switched to Mercedes, when I replaced so many batteries (and alternators) I couldn't possibly count.
*I have had to replace two "secondary" batteries: in the W205 it's actually a capacitor and was covered under warranty, even at over 4 years old, while on the R231 it's an actual battery so it was not covered by the then-valid warranty; cost under $300.
