No they did not provide any details yet. I just did this Saturday so I expect to hear something this week. I'd be happy with May or June

I placed my order earlier this month and I was told by my dealer production date will most likely be in April.

Placed my order in December and my saleswoman said Mercedes are speculating delivery will be around summertime. Also she said that even though MSRP has not been released yet, factories are currently building cars and will hold it until MSRP is released.

Can anyone explain the processes ,procedures after you place an order with a dealer. I know it’s a special order and I received a “configured print out” what happens next with MB?

I ordered my 2023 GLC in December, the date of production is March 17th and the expected delivery is the second week of April.

Made it to my dealership this afternoon to check on the progress of my build. It was originally scheduled to be built starting yesterday the 27th. But is pushed forward to Mar 3. Salesman printed out an updated order showing the VIN#. But still doesn’t show the MSRP in the computer. He also told me that it should arrive in US about the 1st week of April and if no MSRP will not be delivered to the dealership until MB releases the MSRP. (not sure if dealers get heads-up before it is posted on MBUSA).

Next step is to call MBFS and give the agent an update on delivery. My lease was extended 3 months till Mar 30 and if they don't extend again I have a problem. Stay tuned!!!!

I guess the “next” is that you wait. In the past when I special ordered the salesman would take one of dealers on orders and tweak it to my specks. The car hadn’t been assigned a vin# yet so he was able to make the changes. Then a number of days later it would go into production and a vin# assigned. About a week later it was on its way to the ship and about a total of 4-5 weeks it was delivered to the dealer.

This time around the problem was that they didn’t start thinking about producing (US) cars until about 1-2 months ago so there were no cars headed for the dealership floor. Yesterday I finally got a vin# for my build which is being built in Germany on Mar 3. The big wrinkle this year is that MB hasn’t announced the MSRP. The car will sit at the doc until the price is posted and then it will be delivered to dealer and me.

Hope this helps a little.

my understanding is it takes about 5-6 weeks to get to dealer once it is built. That is consistent with a new BMW I just got. It was built Dec 29 and arrived at dealer Feb 8. If you were able to take a dealer pre-ordered vehicle and tweak it then in should probably be built in March. I custom ordered a new GLC in mid Jan and they are saying late April build...delivery in late May/june.

My dealer said he did exactly what you suggested, He took a pre-ordered and tweak it with my specs. That original order was made in January and MB gave me a production decade of 23/05-03. That's the ending of May, hopefully that will change to a lot sooner.

Interesting. Were you able to make many changes to dealer pre-ordered vehicle? My dealer told me Mercedes told them you could not make any changes to pre-ordered vehicles after January 9 so I basically had to place a "custom" order as I placed order January 12. They are saying production date late April with delivery end May/Early June.... I would expect first pre-ordered vehicles to start arriving at dealers in April, but I understand base MSRP has not been set yet so who knows?

I don't know exactly what the dealer order consisted of, but yea I made changes. In the NetStar print out I can see that the dealer original order was the ending of January and I made changes in February MB confirmed my order, I am hoping the scheduled built date changes as well, like much sooner.

I ordered from dealer allotment RWD on 1/21 and like I said earlier the original production date was 2/27. When I got my VIN# the new production date was now 3/3. I ran the VIN and my car shows up. Not sure what your dealer was talking about. But general rule of thumb is no VIN# they can change the order and assign the P.O. to you.

To provide a datapoint we placed order for an AWD GLC300 in December and the sales just told us we have our allocation assigned with production date in May. The delivery typically takes 4 to 6 weeks for dealer orders to arrive, and customized orders can be faster.

Like Desal, I ordered a 2023 GLC300w4 polar white, beige interior in South Florida on January 27. It came from a dealers allocation and we customized it to meet our needs. DA2, DX2, nappa leather look dash, multi-spoke 19” wheels, dashcam, and trailer hitch. Credited for the door kick sensor. No MSRP yet. We were told a build date of March 8, but I received a Vin# on the 6th and it appeared when I ran it on a decoder. Hoping it will arrive by the end of April, but who knows. A special thanks to everyone who has posted previously that helped us figure out how to do this!

Sorry I only get white cars. I don’t see why not why you couldn’t get any color you want. I have been to the factory and watched as the robot changed colors on the paint line. Takes less than a minute to flush the nozzle to different color. Call me cheap but $750 for a different color is not in my vocabulary.

As for interiors that wasn’t a problem. The only thing I couldn’t do was add 72B - advanced usb package. For some reason it was listed on the ordering guide that was posted but didn’t appear on the dealer pc.

The dealer found the paint and interior colors among his allocation. So I never tried.

  1. I think the 2022 base was 43850 plus about a $1000 for destination..so that is 3250 increase if the 47100 does not include destination..

The cost of my car in 2020 was $52,055 (includes $995 destination). The 2023 if I figured correctly is $56,200 (includes $1,150 destination) The 2023 configuration of the car is pretty close to what I had in 2020. That gives me an 8% increase. It's a 15.5% increase for everyone in destination cost, ouch!

Hi Cincy MB Guy, I am looking for order guides for any/every 2023/2024 model that you can find, preferably pdfs just like these other ones I found with detailed options, retail pricing, and build specs. The product build and price tool on MB website is extremely glitchy on my phone and I am researching options and technology across the entire product line. Any chance you know the link to find these, or if you could possibly post them here? It'd be a lifesaver thanks!
