I posted the following on 2023 GLC Pricing. The GLC fits my life style and price range. Not interested in AWD in flat Florida that's why RWD. This car was ordered from dealer allocations and is the 1st one out the door of the dealership. For me it is a winner.
I leased a GLC 300 SUV RWD yesterday from a South Florida dealer. I have purchased 1 and leased 3 from this dealership with the same salesman. But that did stop him from say we are "not discounting" because there are so few units. In the end I paid $52,107 the MSRP was $55,650. (PINNACLE Trim, with Driver Assist, Nappa Look, Dashcam, Vented Front seats & Hand Painted Pin Striping (about $350-had on the other 2 SUVs)).
Have only had it for 24 hrs. but I really like it. It is quieter than my 2020, the 2.4 additional length makes it feel bigger. The 2 info. screens work well together. I have noticed that there are a lot of improvements over the 2020.
Not sure if older models have a MB emblem shine on the ground when you exit the vehicle?
Between the Red Lines is what you would normally see as you backup. But before you start to go just touch the Icon inside the Yellow Circle you get a wide angle view. That I like
Inside the Green circle shows the mild hybrid in action. A white light appears (not shown). The Red Arrow shows that there is a car in front of you & if there were other cars around they would show also. The Yellow Circle shows the side view mirror has turned Red so there is a car approaching on the left (a few moments after the picture was taken it appeared). If you look out your window at your mirror you also see the red indicator. That hasn't changed. I like this feature of being able to see what is going on around you by just looking straight ahead.

Does anyone knows when a VIN# is assigned to a built, is it at the time of production.

It’s assigned a vin a day or so before it goes into production. At least that has been my experience with the last 3 GLC I have ordered even with my 2023.

My dealer called this afternoon. My production date was 5/15 but they must be running ahead of schedule. I have a VIN, the car is built, and he’ll let me know which ship it gets on.
Now that 2023 is in full production but the GLC site still says “Build coming soon” I am guessing we will never be able to “build” a 2023. I am betting that it will go straight to a 2024 “build your own”. I am disappointed because I wanted to confirm the build of the car that I have on order.

Original build date of May 3rd but pushed back to May 24th. Hopefully no more delays!
Thats odd. I would maybe have suspected parts availability/supply chain issues but the list of options I passed on was pretty short and mine bumped up a week.

Incorrect. No suspension difference. AMG in this case is the "AMG Line Package" which is mostly appearance and trim differences. As opposed to a full-on AMG model with a different engine and suspension. Here are the AMG Line package details for the GLC (2023 spec):

But I can tell you that on my 2020 GLC with the AMG Line Package and 20' wheels, the ride is just as smooth as anything with smaller wheels and tires.

Thanks for confirming as it wasn't always true, the amg line for the previous generation X253 had GLC 43 brakes (someone actually took it apart and compared them, sans the Mercedes-Benz lettering on the GLC 43 and it has a stiffer suspension but not as stiff as GLC 300 so I am curious if MB did the same for the X254.

Sorry I meant the X253 GLC 43 has a stiffer suspension than the X253 GLC 300 amg line and a stiffer suspension as the X253 GLC 300 base trim.
Looks like my GLC 300 AWD was produced on 4/27.. but has been sitting at the port of departure waiting for assignment/loading to a ship since 5/12. Anyone else in the same situation? What was your turnaround from arrival at port in Germany to actual loading onto the boat?
Really bummed to see it sitting and waiting so long, especially as I've heard that it can take a bit once it arrives in Baltimore for some of those features to be installed.

Getting a vessel can be a problem although it is better now than a year ago. Ordered ours Feb 25 built March 29. Still waiting. Dealer says it was unloaded in LA May 23. Find LA surprising I thought they all came through Georgia port. I am in Illinois. Hoping it shows up this week. The boat trip is really quite fast
Similar here as well. My production date was 5/15 but it finished a few days prior. It sat at the port until today. My dealer called this morning and the ship is now at sea. Looks like it’s stopping to pick up some Volvo’s or something. He said it’s expected in Baltimore on 6/10, then has to be unloaded and get through VPC.
I ordered my 2023 GLC 4Matic SUV on the first week in May. It’s on the boat in Germany but hasn’t left the port. When it leaves I’ll get a tracking link so O can watch it cross the ocean 😂🎉👍🏻
