I'll wait until they bring back the volume knob before I buy.

No Volume Knob a deal breaker for you?

I'm disappointed that the new car doesn't have a physical knob for the radio volume. The touch-sensitive sliderl is too difficult for me to control while driving. Just curious if other feel this is a deal breaker?

Not a dealbreaker for me but certainly not a highlight. But it's possible to press the slider both in the colsole and on the wheel which I think works better then actually sliding.

Not a deal breaker for me. As for the radio volume, suggest you press the voice button on the multifunction steering wheel or use Hey Mercedes and have the MBUX system adjust the volume. That works for AC & fan speed too. That said the slider controls are sensitive and it would be nice if they had an adjustment for sensitivity.

I loved the touchpad on the prior Mercedes systems and I hope they bring it back, along with the scroll wheel on the steering wheel.

Honda brought back the volume knob after customer complaints and I believe Mercedes will do the same with these features thus i'll just wait.

Not a breaker, but it's a reason for me to not purchase it. I use it a lot and would prefer some mechanical option. This tech is one of the cons to me going with the GLC vs another brand. Still deciding.

Unfortunately, I believe that this vehicle has some more significant issues.

Could you spill it? Just list them otherwise, it just sounds like you have a grudge.

It’s definitely an adjustment, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. In addition to the volume slide the sunroof/shade and all of the steering wheel controls are also slides and take some getting used to.

For those old enough t remember. The change of the high beam switch from the floor to the stalk took some getting used to. That said I do like tactical knobs and switches. I hope these new non tactical work with winter gloves. I expect mittens have no chance

I dislike the volume control thumbwheel on my 2019 GLC. I can never get it right -- move it a little nothing happens, move it a little more, way too loud or too soft.

I'm having no problems with the volume control. The four-way touch-sensitive selector switch on the upper left hand section of the steering wheel is another story. The opening for the switch is too small for my fat thumb. I get the right reaction from the switch about 50% of the time. My previous car was a GLB 35 that had the raised selector - that was much easier to use.
