I'll pick it up late this afternoon if I can bum a ride from one of my daughters.

Frankly I'd have preferred that it was a failed component. If the self-protection software cries wolf too often, it starts to remind me of the HAL9000 predicting a failure in the AE35 unit, and being wrong, and then murdering Frank Poole .

I had a sensor air message last month that is likely software related but I haven't had a chance to drop off the vehicle yet. The error message hasn't happened for the past several weeks though.
Agree, glad it was just software : )

Estimated electric range is 130 km after last night's charge. That's the maximum range estimated in the European test cycle and 50% more than the Transport Canada estimate.

I totally jinxed myself yesterday. The sensor error message just popped up again 🙄

Got the rubber M-B floor mats last week. They are really a perfect fit and protect parts of the carpet that the summer mats don't. Highly recommended.

Did you do this yourself or was it done by the dealership? Seems to be working okay for me so far. I have not had the dual black screen issue since I updated. Unfortunately, I had the "active brake assist functions currently limited" message pop up last week. I checked to see if it was the sensors being dirty but that was not the issue. Not sure what causes this message to randomly pop up. The message will go away on its own after I lock the car and leave it be for 30 minutes or so.

I did the update at home. Spent 45 minutes sitting inside with the "ignition" on because it seemed not to install when the car was off. Then when it finished I was asked to leave the car and that was it. Next entry I had to go through the setup which was quick but so far so good.

The only anomaly I've had was the "do not restart" which I posted about earlier but after the software update 7000 km ago it's been perfect.

Was this an over the air update thst you received a notification for? I thought this 3.3 update had to be done by the dealership.

Yeah, I don't understand why I occasionally get the "active brake assist functions currently limited" error message. Another person mentioned in another thread thst software update would fix this l, but unfortunately that has not been the case with me.

I currently have E333.8-58 installed, is MBUX 3.3 a newer version?

No, I did it at home. It came up when I started the car and told me to get out of the car and shut off the engine and lock the car. Worked fine but logged me out of my profile.

I had the first check engine light today. The odd thing is that the car was in EL mode when it happened. Trying to book an appointment to find out what the cause is.

Had the same issue with engine light. If you recently got gas the 1st thing you might try is simply open and close the gas cap. The light has not returned. Had the same issue with my 2023 GLC it’s a sensor reading thing.

Thanks - I last got gas about 3 weeks ago. My daughter has an OBD2 reader so I may see if I can pull a code with that.

Dealer will have to decode:
Could not get a real code from the OBDII
B2AAA - the ScangaugeII could not get a real code from the OBDII

On the other hand, the CEL reset to off after five drive cycles. So it's a minor error, whatever it is. Today, after 90 km on a not full battery, we needed a touch of engine to get home and it was fine.

Update on the CEL:

The code was P2DD303 - DC charge connector unit (single fault). Cleared and loaded new software for that. I've never had a problem using DC charging, the six or so times I've done it. It does explain why the ScanGauge could not decode the CEL, and why the CEL came on when the engine was off. Clearly some electric drive system errors will show a CEL.

The service rep also noted that Attention Assist was "suspended" (good, I don't need it), but there was a code stored for that too: C112C97 - Mid-range RADAR obstructed. Sensor was clear when the car was in the shop, installed software update.

The two "low beam malfunction" warnings were not stored and I've already stated that I think those were due to driving literally straight into a bright sun up a steep hill and the sensor getting blinded.

Anyway, we will see how it goes. The Service A should be coming up in about 3 months.

First service was done today, Not too expensive at $525 CAD. 19,990 km (300 short of the maintenance warning).

I had my first Service A done a few weeks ago at 23,000 km. I wanted to have my winter tires switched to my summers on the same day, so I delayed the service by 4-6 weeks. My service representative said that everything was looking good which makes me wonder if the service frequency should be different for plug in hybrids. Last year, 80% of my total travel was done with electric mode and 20% with the ICE (so only ~4600 km was done with the ICE). Is an oil change really necessary at this point?

$525 CAD seems a little high for a Service A. Is that including tax? Unless you also had them switch over your tires. I purchased a prepaid maintenance package for $700 which includes two Sevice As ans one Service B in between (the dealership took off $1000 to sweeten the deal).

I had to bring my car back in today due to a thudding sound that was coming from the underside of my car on the drivers side which started shortly after my Service A. I thought perhaps something was left loose. To my surprise, it was one of the front anti sway bar links that was loose (the report says the right side but I felt like the noise was coming from the left so I'm not sure if this was a typo). Anyways they replaced the anti sway bar link with a new one and the noise is now gone. This was a little disheartening to hear as my vehicle is only a year old and I'm super cautious with it. I feel like this part shouldn't have broken down so quickly. Thankfully it was covered under warranty.

Lastly, they updated some software today for the AC Charger Control Unit amd Battery Management System. I am happy to report that this update now allows GLC 350e owners to charge at the advertised Level 2 speeds of 9.6 kW instead of the previous 7.7 kW Not that I plan on charging at 9.6 kW frequently, but its nice to have that option if I need to charge quickly while at home.

The price was all in. Cheap enough considering the cabin filters were changed. I do the wheels myself. I could use a $700 deal on 3 services so maybe I will make speaks with the dealer guy who sells those plans.

The "offer" when we bought the car was $1800 or thereabouts. Seemed steep and even extrapolating the amount I paid plus a buffer, it's not much of a deal at that price.

I too had the AC charge update. 9.6 kW is slow.....20 is slow too as the car can take 60 kW if you cut it loose.

60 kW is only possible with Level 3 DC charging I believe. The fastest residential Level 2 AC charging available is 11.5 kW I believe. I'm just glad they finally updated this because the website says that onboard chsrger allows for 9.6 kW and the highest I was able to reach before today's update was 7.7 kW.

How much does your dealership charge for a Service B? Did your service rep mention anything about how often we should be doing Service As on our 350e? I'm curious if we actually need oil changes every 20,000 km considering the majority of our mileage is in electric mode and we aren't really using the ICE as much as a regular vehicle.

It's a long-standing rule - change oil yearly no matter what the distance. So no I did not ask.

Service B is likely a few hundred more as it involves a brake fluid flush.

The driver's door check strap started clacking/boinging at the service so they've ordered a new one. Then a day later the passenger front door did the same!
