Active Brake Assist Functions Currently Limited

Hello,
I've had this error message pop up a few times since taking delivery of my GLC 350e 2.5 weeks ago. Anyone know what's causing this? If I turn off my car, get out, and wait a minute or two before I get back in and start the car, the error message usually goes away. My initial guess was that the message pops up if I try starting the car before closing the driver's door. Has this happened anyone else? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From what I seen on the forums for the X254, things like this is usually a software issue addressed through software updates.

I've received a similar message when the sensors got dirty. However my situation was winter road grime/salt. It's a long shot but perhaps a quick wipe of the sensors to see if that's it?

I thought this was the issue as well but the sensors and cameras were all clean. Maybe some slight dust on them but nothing crazy. Very strange.

Best to do a scan and see what error codes it has logged. There can be various issues causing this. From software issues as mentioned, to the system needing to be reset or the calibration not being correct. Voltage issues can also cause it, but with the car being new, the battery shouldn't be bad. You need to get it properly diagnosed.

I mean it was reported and the fix was indeed a software update, my recommendation is get them to install the latest update at the dealership : ) A fix should be out already.

I believe I have the latest update. When I go to software update in settings it says I have the latest one. I just took delivery 2.5 weeks ago so I would assume they installed the latest software. I'll bring it to the dealership for diagnosis. The problem is the error message is no longer there. It shows up randomly.

That is not exactly how it works (at least not the entire picture), there are thousands of modules (might had exaggerated a bit) in the car and you need XENTRY which the dealership has to update them.

You’re probably looking at the MBUX software version. That’s not what runs the car and all associated systems. Before I took delivery of my 2025 GLC 350e in December, I required the service department go through all system software and ensure the latest versions were installed. It’s May and I have had zero issues. Take your car to the dealer.

Yup exactly, depending on the size of the update and the connection, it may takes hours to days to get them all completed.

You should have E267.0 (as the latest being MBUX 3.2.1) apparently. Since MBUX 3.2.1 is the latest update so far.

As you already know MBUX 3.0 is NTG 8.

This happened to me a few days ago too. I did not even get an error message it was just unavailable. I stopped for breakfast and when I got back to the car it was working again. I think it had something to do with me parking inches away from a wall on two sides but don't know for sure. The car is 6 weeks old. Once I am past the break in period I need to mention that, all the Siriusxm issues I am having. Also, in case anyone else has done it, I enabled MyQ integration and it basically broke the car. The modem would be unavailable at car startup, along with the assistant and all infotainment functions. The energy management system seemed to fail too. The only way to get the car back was to start the car connected to the house Wi-Fi. Eventually from the phone application I unlinked MyQ and the car went back to normal.

I am going to mention this again, it is software. Especially if it is intermittent and glitchy, early versions of the software on this car is glitchy and they had been patching it over the months.

I wish I know what is the patched version so you can compare directly. Since I don't the best course of action is to get the dealership to start updating different modules to the lastest firmware. Patience is needed though since there are hundreds (or thousands, might be exaggerating) of modules.
