Has anyone tried to install the FITCAMX 4K Dash Cam for the 2025 GLC? It looks like a great solution, but I would worry about voiding my warranty. I guess that's just a chance you have to take.

I was debating between fitcamx and other (viofo etc) dashcams. I saw a post asking about the remedy to broken clips when dissembling the covers, and a post complaining about the heat generated by the fitcamx dashcam. I ended up with viofo single channel dashcam. Very easy power cable hiding/routing since the cigarette power socket is at the passenger foot well. I just leave the extra cable underneath the passenger carpet. Now I barely notice the dashcam unless I really want to look for it.

Thanks a lot. Could you take a photo of it installed on your car? I also had worries about the heat and the loss of warranty, since it was wired directly into the car.Originally Posted by sz9e

What about the dash cam installed in the car by mercedes. i I heard that only need a coding to activate it while the engine started

I don't have the Driver Assistance Package, so I don't have the required camera - I am told. Someone else said in a post that no 2025 GLCs have the hardware.Originally Posted by MB300de

On denying warranty claims because of aftermarket additions, unless the manufacturer can demonstrate that the addition was the cause of the failure or directly involved in the failure, denial of warranty would not stand legal scrutiny. For an extreme example, denying replacement of a cracked Artico seat cover due to a dashcam would be laughable.
