No USB C ports for rear seating area

Just notice our car does not have any charging ports for the rear passengers. I see some cars have two charging ports at the rear of the center console. Is the wiring harness inside the console and all I need are the USB C ports?
Does anyone have a solution to this?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Leif.

You should have a 12 volt socket to accommodate one of these.

The panel where the ports should be pops out. There is no wiring behind it. You can run a USB C cable from the 12 v socket in the passenger footwell using the above adapter back to the panel area by tucking it under the edge of the console. I made a panel that would fit but without the oem clips I couldn't make a decent looking way to attach it so I gave up. I might be able to find the pics I took.

I made an error above. The USB ports I show need to be connected to a 12v source. The adapter output is 5v.

My solution would be to buy long charge cables and just plug into the outlets inside the center console. You don’t want to end up with a hatchet job on your Mercedes.

That's why I stopped. My first hack job was cutting out the back of our 1967 GTO's glove box so we could install an 8 track player and be able to lock it up. Of course when my younger brother leaned over to put in a tape and ran into the back of the car in front of him because he didn't see it turning, maybe it wasn't such a good idea, This issue awoke the hacker in me though. I googled the part number for the block off plate with no success. I might try my dealer. Before I do I need to identify a switched fuse on the passenger side footwell. Or lay down till the feeling goes away....

Thank you for all the replies. I did buy the cigarette adapter from Amazon it has 4 USB ports and also reads the voltage.
My grip is we had a 2014 GLK350 and it had a 110 volt plug in the trunk area and a cigarette lighter in the rear center console.
I just assumed a 2025 would have all the hook ups in in rear area for cell phones and tablets. Safe to say when buying a new car don't assume something is there.

You would need the Advanced USB package to get two rear USB-C ports.
