GLC's To Be Built in Tuscaloosa, AL
I saw a YouTube video by Mercedes-Benz introducing the 2027 GLE, GLS and the GLC vehicle lineup in Tuscaloosa, AL. It was mentioned that the GLC will be produced in Tuscalossa for the 2027 year model. Previously, the GLC class was produced in Germany, and a few other countries. I believe that this decision was based on Import Tariffs into the U.S.

Is the Vance GLC the identical model assembled elsewhere? Or is it a “GLC” model designed for the US market and not exported?
Consider the VAG precedent to build the Chattanooga plant and assemble the terrible Atlas while discontinuing the incredible Touareg in the US market.

Canadians are avoiding buying US made vehicles in droves. When we ordered our GLC we were told that a slew of GLE orders had been cancelled at the dealer because they're made in USA. Which means - I presume - that Canadian market GLCs will continue to come from Bremen.

Our dealer said 18 months ago that they had lost two GLE orders for the USA reason alone. So that's ....odd. Maybe most buyers don't care. When the free trade deal implodes, possibly soon, I expect major tariffs on all US-built cars here.
