Conti Vs. Pirelli?

I’m having a hard time deciding which A/S tires to go with, and my choices are the DWS 06 or Scorpion Zero A/S +. Has anybody experienced both tires? Your input will be greatly appreciated.

If I had to go with one of those I would choose the DWS. Depending where you live I would still stick with a dedicated winter tire even it’s of the performance variety.

From what I've read, if I had to choose one, I'd probably go DWS. I don't have experience with either of these specific tires, but the better-half has Pirelli Scorpion Verde All-Season's on our MDX and they seem fairly noisy on certain road surfaces. Only been on the vehicle for about 6 months. Tires always seem to be a crap shoot for me and, in general, I've always preferred Michelin's, but they can get pricey.

The only reason why I’m not going with winters, because I have a dedicated AWD wagon with snow tires that I daily. Just want something All around for the 63 if you know what I mean. It seems alot of car forums favor DWS 06.

Nice input! I lurked on Audizine and it seems Audi boys like the DWS06 too.

Most car communities i interact, people only rate Michelins above the DWS, never Pirellis.

From my own experience, Pirelli tires have never given me performance that match their cost.

I would go with the Conti.

~ I've had the DWS on 3 of my cars and love them. DWS would be my choice!

I also just purchased the Pirelli's for my GLC63. So far they have been great in the cold (lows in the 20's) and wet (live near Seattle). No snow experience yet, but I'd guess they'll be as good as any other all-season. I am especially pleased with the ride and noise compliance on the Pirellis. Compared to the stock summer Conti's (which are great by the way), the all-season Pirelli's are not as firm and ride better for daily driving which is to be expected. You do give up some responsiveness and a little steering feel, but that seems appropriate for driving an SUV.
