A heated AMG steering wheel is not available in the 2020 glc43/63, but it appears to be available in the 2019 e53. Given this, does anyone have insight into the AMG steering wheel being available in the 2021 glc43/63?
In the states its not an option on my 2020 glc63 build. Will double check with my dealer too. Odd it dropped off the option list, but they made a bunch of stuff standard too. I wonder if it's in there.

Heated steering wheel is not standard.
USA Dealer order guide dated 9/5/19 doesn’t even list heated steering wheel as an option for AMG GLC43/63.

I believe your right. As much as I like the look of the AMG flat bottom wheel at -40C / -40F my wife would not have a vehicle here without heated wheel.
I believe the 2020 GLC 43 will get the same heated steering wheel as the 2020 GLC 300 heated wheel pictured below. Just not sure.

I would take the cold AMG wheel over the heated round wheel.
It’s interesting that the 2020 E53 and E63 get the heated AMG wheel, but C class does not.

I'm in Edmonton as well. We have the non heated flat bottom steering wheel in ours. If we wanted the heated one, then it would be the standard wheel. My wife can just wear gloves in the winter.

I think you have a 2019 and it seems that the 2020's have different wheels in the heated versions.
Correct. The interiors have been updated to the newest version that you showed us. But the steering wheel design with the flat bottom stayed the same except for all of the new buttons etc. The flat bottomed wheel wasn't heated when we looked into it. We decided to save thousands and got a 2019 instead.
Today is the first day I ever noticed I didn't have a heated wheel. I live in Texas so I don't need one but it was cold this morning for the first time and I went to turn on the heated wheel and couldn't find the button...
This will be my wifes daily driver so heated wheel it is. Have you been happy with your 43? Did you buy it in Edmonton?
Ya. My wife drove a SRT Grand Cherokee before the GLC43. She was getting tired of the price to fill up. The GLC43 is a nice compromise. Only thing we're missing are the cooled seats in the front, heated seats in the rear and heated steering wheel. The Uconnect is worlds ahead of the Mercedes Nav system. I tuned the GLC43 and it just moves out now. Way faster than our old SRT GC. We bought from Heritage Valley. You?

it was a bummer to learn this while mine was being built because I use heated wheel once it's under 60 degrees.
On my old SRT Jeep (with flat bottom wheel btw) and wife's durango, heated steering wheel would automatically come on at today's temperature in Houston. miss that

I bought at the same place from Kevin. We bought our 2017 Smart Brabus that we haul on our RV hauler from him and really like dealing with him.
Is the heated wheel as thick as the AMG wheel? I love AMG's thicc wheel, flat bottom aside. Tested a GLC43 with standard wheel didn't really feel right.
And I will gladly wear gloves to keep these puppies on the AMG wheel.
Would a semi-alcantara or full alcantara wheel be a decent compromise between the AMG and heated wheels (AMG and easier on bare hands in cold weather)?
The heated steering wheel doesn't actually make it round for the new models. On the older models (pre-facelift GLC and GLE), a heated steering wheel on the 43 trims would get you the round bottom, but on the 63s it won't change. The case stays the same here, except the 43 and 63 both get a heated AMG steering wheel. On normal GLCs, however, the flat bottom is replaced with a round wheel. The thickness will not change if you get a heated steering wheel on the new 43s (on the older and newer 63s, it stays the same)

These are pictures from the Canadian site when choosing the three different steering wheel options. I did call my dealer today and ask if there is any way to get the heated flat bottom AMG wheel from other model AMG's. Not holding my breath on this.
