“Emotion start” on GLC43/63?

For the the 2020 E53/E63: “Emotion Start” now available; hold the left steering wheel shift paddle while pressing the start button for a sporty engine start.

Any idea if the 2020 GLC43/63 get this feature?

probably not. C class cars do not get the fun stuff.

Can you imagine the GLC with the E63 drift mode?

It’s been confirmed that C63 gets the feature. Unclear on GLC AMG models.

I always hit the start button twice with my foot off the brake and then toggle to S+ and then start my car. I give it an extra "bleep" so it's pops as soon as it starts. I show everyone that their fear has come true...lol...

You can also set your Individual settings to where the Exhaust is in S+ and if you hit the start button and then immediately scroll the Dynamic setting up to Indv. It pretty much starts in S+.

I confirmed on my 2020 GLC43 that it does has emotion start. When holding the left shift paddle and starting engine, it revs to 2,000+ RPM, compared to less that 1,000 on normal start. It’s great.

Once you put on the ASR module sounds deeper all the time.

Most people will save their money and simply hold down the paddle when starting the engine.

fair enough. Can’t use it without PE and I guess same would be true there too.

as a personal matter I would be unwilling to do it when it’s cold out, 8 months a year here. 2k revs on a cold start is a great way to get that permanent clicking sound from damage IMO. Then I’m too lazy to hold paddles and push buttons. Of course that’s part of the reason I went with the ASR as well.
