Why can't you buy a GLC63 "S" in the US?

Why can't you buy a GLC63 "S" in the US?

I can only see the GLC63 online but not the "S". Why? (I'm talking about the SUV version, not the coupe)

Based on a dealer meeting earlier this year in Vegas, Mercedes is cutting models and trims in the USA to simplify their lineup and axe slow-selling models. I haven't read anymore specific announcements or a list of which models will be cut, but I'm guessing the S SUV didn't sell well.

We do get C43 wagon in Canada but it has been a slow seller. MB also doesn't really support it since 2020 GLC43 got MBUX and 2020 C43 Wagon still on old Command 5.5 and GLC also have 0.5% lower rate and higher rebates.

As much as a lot of people say they will get a wagon, when rubber meets the road, we all ended up in GLCs.

The GLC63s SUV has never been available in the US only the Coupe-UV version comes in s trim.

Yes, the areas close to New Mexico get a good amount of snow.

I am in Dallas-Fort Worth area. We get a little snow or ice about once a year. A cold front did just hit but it's still 50 degrees. It was 75 all weekend. Tonight it will start getting pretty dang cold.

On what do you base that? I tried buying one and had a heck of a time finding one anywhere in Canada. I tried 6 different dealers. (Unless you want White, which I do not)

The part of this that makes no sense to me... if for whatever reason they choose to sell one SUV trim, why they don't drop the SUV non-S and only sell the S variant.

You want a head scratcher? Figure out what the Aero Package is for 2020 :-) I've seen a 2020 GLC63 Without it and a 2020 GLC63s (Coupe) with it, in the same color.. and I can't tell the difference :-) .. front or rear... here is to hoping my 2020 GLC63 comes with the same fascia in as in the 2019's.
