8k miles and mechanic wants to replace brake pads

When I went in at 10k with squeaky brakes I thought my pads are starting to go. Dealership stated that all AMG cars brakes squeak. I dont beileve him, squeaking is embarrassing on stops.

I've heard it a few times but it isn't consistent and it's rarely.

Lazy techs if you ask me.
My wife had persistent squeaky brakes on her Nissan. The dealer said all was fine. So when she complained to the Acura dealer I had my old Acura at - they brought it in. They cleaned everything and the squeak was gone forever.
it will happen occasionally. But if it continues - I think you need to find a good technician.
i know that some vehicles (not sure on the GLC) there are different brakes between 43/53/63 models. The bigger the enshrine the bigger the brakes. They also tend to be harder to reduce fade and so they tend to squeak more.
I still say a skilled technician will be able to resolve 9/10 times.

Some brake squeal on Brembo/Performance type brakes has been documented for years. My brakes squeak a little on my GLE63s but seems to be on slow speed city traffic stops. Dealer said my GLE63s rears were near factory minimum at 11,700 miles. I opted to wait for the Brake light and changed at 12,600 miles. There are reports which say the rears on AMG go quick because they are used more often with the safety systems.
