Driver Assistance Package

It's not a bad deal for so many bells and whistles for under $2K but do people actually find all of these safety features useful? I never use cruise control and I think the parking package is adequate for me but wanted to get your thoughts?

I know even for resale, it's not a bad option to get but I also feel like just one more thing to go wrong later.

I skipped that option when I ordered my car. The only thing I kinda wish I had was distronic cruise control, but it's not worth $1700. I use cruise control 1-2x a year. The rest sound like features that I would find annoying and turn off anyway.

Thank you - I am skipping this as well.

I have 30-35 min of stop and go daily. The only reason I ordered it.

How well does it work? I'll know in March.

I have it in my '19 C63S and I would order it again. The DISTRONIC PLUS along with Active Steering Assist is great for driving in stop&go traffic as well as on long road trips. Makes driving long distances a lot more relaxing. The Active Lane Change Assist is pretty cool. Just indicate that you wanna change lanes and if the lane is clear the car changes lanes on its own. Again, very nice for long distance driving. The safety features are a piece of mind. They are perhaps a bit too conservative for my taste, so they occasionally beep at me when I think I still have plenty of room, but better safe then sorry. All the systems work pretty well overall. It probably comes down to what you are planning to use the car for. I personally don't find myself in traffic too much, but I do grand tours regularly, driving up to 12 hours in a day, so having these systems makes a huge difference in terms of alertness and fatigue. It also makes the times I do end up in traffic not as frustrating as I can just let the car do the driving and take over again when the traffic clears.

I was driving my wife's AMG GLC 43 in the left carpool lane running at 50mph with stopped traffic in all 4 right lanes when some idiot who was stopped pulled right in front of me. Before I could get my foot on the brake the car was already trying to stop. The DAP in my mind just paid for itself avoiding the crash. I will be ordering it on my new AMG GLC63 Coupe without question.

If you daily drive in traffic it's amazing. If you never have traffic well....bless your heart

So i'm just a week into owning my 2020 GLC 63 (which is my daily) and it's perfect for DC traffic. I do however use cruise control like it's going out of style due to bad knees, so this is a God send for me. Still a little bit hesitant to completely trust it for stop and go, but i'm slowly coming around to it. Bottom line is it's a biased opinion, but worth every penny to me, could be different for you.

I have it on my car and I really like it. I have the lane control stuff turned off, but otherwise have everything else on. My kids Subaru has it and the active cruise is nice on long trips or in city traffic.

I've said it before and I'll say it again..... It's a 90K car, a couple G's isn't going to break the bank.
