BMW X3M

Has anyone cross shopped GLC63 against X3M Competition? Or owns both?
My wife recently got a X3M Comp and we didn't test drive the GLC as I drive the C63s which shares the M177 engine with GLC63. In other words, we both wanted something different.
So I was wondering what made you guys choose the AMG over M.

Never shopped bmw because they don’t support android auto.

Also, was already familiar with Mercedes, and mbux interface is best in class.

2020 GLC 63
I shopped and test drove both last month I really like both, but ultimately went for the GLC 63. Because:
1. I really like the look and stance that the GLC has compared to the X3M comp.
2. the Sound I have is the 63 non S, but even it that form..... the x3m doesnt compare.
3. I also played around with the BMW infotainment, and I personally think MBUX is much better
Having said that tho I really did like the x3M comp as well, it comes with more options, they package it better in regards to options. Meaning when they say its fully loaded its fully loaded, Mercedes on the other hand says its fully loaded yet you dont get this and that unless you custom order it that way.
Honestly, the night that I got the GLC 63 if the dealer didnt give me a good enough deal I was going straight to BMW

GLC63 AMG S Coupe
I have 2019 GLC63S coupe and my wife has 2020 X4M.

I prefer GLC 63S because:
1. There is no turbo lag with the V8 engine.
X4M has a momentary hesitation from the start when you put your foot down.
2. The sound of the GLC is deeper and louder.
3. I prefer the more muscular look of GLC.

X4M is a nice car but more suited for a female driver.

When I was cross shopping the x4M had a lot less rear headroom than the GLC. Looks also didnt even compare.

GLC 63 AMG, Trackhawk, X3M
My wife has a X3M.

- very uncomfortable (Charlie horse after an hour)
- exhaust note is whiny
- Tough suspension (air ride is light years ahead)
- face lift GLC tech is now better
- bmw is extremely cheap to mod

I like it when I want more sporty steering but sucks you can not turn it off and just cruise. Always rough.

I agree. I don't get why BMW put 265 rear tires on these M cars

2018 GLC 63
I never drove the GLC 63, but I did buy a 43. I drove a X3M and X3M Comp. I actually had a deal in place to get a X3M (non comp) for basically the same price as the 43 I bought. I thought the BMW was uncomfortable, seats and ride. I liked the power and speed, but enjoyed the cockpit of the MB way more and for me, the 43 has enough power (for now).

2020 BMW X3M Comp
I cross shopped them but went with an X3MC. The GLC looks more aggressive and sounds better but cockpit layout is aesthetically awful IMO. Seeing how I spend more time behind the wheel instead of looking at it or listening to it, the choice was easy for me - I felt the X3M was more fun to drive. As for the sport seats, they're definitely not for big or wide people. I just drove 11 hours in it hand found it to be very comfortable. My only complaint is the suspension in comfort mode could be a lot softer, especially on NYC streets.
