IMO, it's an "ok" deal, not an "good" deal and not a "great" deal, but I don't know the 43 market that well.
One thing to keep in mind when buying a car, is you never get anything you don't ask for.

i asked for lower. What’s a reasonable price?

70 out the door? Do you have a trade? My suggestion is identify a specific number otherwise, you ask them for lower and they'll end up giving you a few hundred bucks. What's your alternative at that price point or your negotiated bottom? are you willing to throw them a bone and buy something like an extended warranty or some other dealer add on that they get more margin on? Remember, it never hurts to ask. If it were me, i'd shoot for 15%. it may be unrealistic but that's where I's start. there's an internet add for chevy's displayed right in this thread for 15% off. If you can get it on a chevy, you can get it on a MB
I'm sure that most people get around 5-10% or better if they take the time. I'm sure there are people that have gotten great deals of 15% or better.
Have you checked with other dealers?

At a glance it seems ok, I would shoot for $66k with service plan included.

Well I paid $73k OTD for my 2020 63 SUV (MSRP $84k) in January. So I'm sure you could get more. If you can get a pre-approved loan, then that might help. Good luck with the buy.

I negotiated out the door price of msrp on my custom order. But we have 8.5% sales tax here so it’s effectively a 8.5% discount.
Careful that the dealer isn’t going to add fees on top of that $70,000 they agreed to, even if you are trying to go lower.

I got mine for $60k in 2018. Sticker was $74 and change . The only reason you might pay a little more is if you wanted the Coupe version of the 63 as that is the only way to get the S. IMO there is more room. Throw out $65 and see what they say. If you don't ask you don't know. Good luck.

Totally disagree with this. A good discount is relative and subjective. If you’re ok with last years model from the lot that has options you don’t want, then sure, a higher discount could be good.
If you want a custom order slot with the exact right options and to avoid paying for options you don’t want, then under 10% could be a great discount.
No one should expect to get a high discount because some stranger on the internet said something without any facts to support it. A good discount is when the buyer gets a product for a price they think is fair to them, and no one else matters but the buyer themself.

There are other threads on the forums where people like me who actually purchased a car and others have discussed discounts. Additionally the question was about an on lot purchase not a special order.
To original poster: happy to pass along my dealer info via PM and another sales manger who I’ve confirmed discounts with in the past based on actual member claims I’ve validated.
agree to not believe people like this guy who sounds like a used car salesman trying to gaslight you.

a good deal and discount is what you believe it is and what you can afford and happy with.
all my last few cars, i've always went for OTD (tax, license, etc) about $1K below MSRP and i was happy with it. it also depends on the time and season, holidays..etc.
i'm waiting for my custom built 43 Coupe which should be arriving next month and I had negotiated about $1,500 below MSRP ($74,000) for OTD.

Think of it this way. Any day now you should be able to configure a 2021 online. The minute that happens your car becomes one year old. So, the question is how much incentive do you need to buy a one year old car.
According to Manheim, there have only been three 2020 GLC43 SUVs that have crossed the block, listed in date, value, mileage, condition (1-5, 5 being an absolutely perfect car)
8/14/20 $52,200 21,531 4.2
7/6/20 $59,150 6,110 4.6
7/1/20 $66,200 2,104 4.7
The 7/1 and 7/6 sales are your best compare because of the condition and miles. Obviously, the dealer has to make some money so you have to expect a markup, but based on this limited sample, 70K isn't the worst deal in the world, but I'd go for 67-68.

That's about where I was with my 2020 GLC 43 SUV. I have high taxes where I live, so getting a bit lower than asking OTD was a win for me. MB doesn't seem to go that low. BMW X3M went a lot lower. I could have had that cheaper than the 43 and the Competition just a bit more.
Also to touch on Goomaj's point...it's true that 2021 can be configured already and 2020 is an older car. for SUV on the lot, i bet you can ask for those prices but building one at that price is highly doubted.
i built my car right when it shut down for COVID (mid March) and it took about 6 months (expect delivery early Sept) which is absurd. I had thought about cancelling it during all this time but I want to wait and see it here and try to get more incentives and decide if I to go through or build 2021 model.
