Checking oil level by onboard computer GLC43?

Recently took delivery of my 2020 GLC43.

Is there an option for checking the engine oil level with the onboard computer? Owner's manual says to access the Service menu and there should be Engine Oil Level menu.

When I access the Service menu via the left steering wheel buttons, I only see Messages, Tire Pressure, Assyst, and Coolant menus. Am I missing something?? Is there another place to find the oil level electronically?

Thanks for any input. I do have the full digital instrument cluster.

This place is a joke.
If you have a dipstick, you can't check it through the cluster.

Wow, it does have a dipstick. Surprised you can't check via MBUX also. I had both options on my last Audi.

On my wifes 2020 X4M there is no dipstick and to check the oil level you have to drive the car for 1/2 hour before it gives you the oil level readout.
That's what I call progress.
I'm happy that my 2019 GLC63S still has a dipstick.

Koki.
I stand corrected. Just checked My 2019 GLC63S and it does not have a dipstick and the oil level can only be checked using the onboard computer.
The engine was cold so it gave me the message that it needs more time before it will measure the oil level.
I will try again when the engine is warm to see how long it takes to get the reading.

Sounds like 43s have actual dipstick and no way to check via computer while 63s are the opposite.

Any other 43 owners have the option to check from computer??

I have a 2019 GLC 43 and it has a dipstick. My understanding is that the GLC 63 models don't have one because they have a dry sump oil system, so it must be checked using the on-board computer, according the page 320 of my owner's manual.

My 2018 GLC43 only has a dipstick. There is no option to check the level electronically.

Thanks for confirming and the sanity check. The owner's manual led me to believe it should have an electronic read out for oil level in addition to the dipstick.

Sorta disappointed that it does not. The electronic dipstick was a convenient feature on my former SQ5 to be able to quickly take a glance at the level while driving, etc.

yup, the owner's manual covers all the models for GLC, including GLC 300 2.0T engine. For 2020 GLC 300, it only has electronic reading, no dipstick.

I would prefer dipstick if have to pick either one. I agree with you the best is to have both.
