Custom ordered a 2021 GLC 43 SUV which I picked up yesterday. Didn’t know hands free trunk access is now separate that MB charges as a $100 stand alone option . Would’ve gotten it added had I been given a 2021 ordering guide . I placed my order based on 2020 options . Anyway, besides the trunk button on the driver’s side door and the key fob - is there any other way to open this trunk since I can’t kick from below I was looking for a button on the outside of the trunk to press on but couldn’t locate one??

Under the lip where the light for the registration plate is. ..rubbery button that needs to be pressed upwards!

If it’s the Coupe version, push on the top part of the star and release, this will open the rear hatch, it’s also where the rear camera is.

My speculation is that MB made it a standalone option so that buyers would know that adding the towing package removed the hands free access. By making it standalone, it will throw an error in the Netstar ordering system to inform buyers.

I have a 63 and you press the star to open it. Is that what you mean?

Yeah, same issue, same process. Picked mine up 12/29. Started as a 2020 in July ended up with a 2021 'cept my sales person picked up on the "re packaging" of several options. Your right "P17 Hands-Free" $100. The response from Decorily is correct for the operation. Just as a note the foot under the car doesn't always work. Enjoy the new car, I have so far ... (I do miss the V8 from my CLS.)

I have the tow package, and the hands free works no problem...kick with foot at the right spot under bumper and it opens every time....
