Service B overdue by 24,700 miles
i’m in the process of buying a 2019 glc 63s amg when I went to the dealership for a test drive the warning “service b overdue by 24,700 miles” popped up. looking at the carfax with one previous owner he did regular services and maintenance with a certified MB dealership. is this a serious issue with the vehicle and should I stay away or is it something MB or my self can reset with no issue. Car has 49k miles on it.

Easy to reset the light. Tons of videos on YT on how to do it.
The mileage on the car should be listed on the service records.
If you can verify service - the light is just a service reminder.

If it’s still possible and important to ya, you can send off the oil to a laboratory and they will break down the things you need to know about the oils life, any contamination or debris, or any other sign of mechanical neglect.

My 2019 GLC 43 has the same problem and the dealer could not get it off, or reset after my 20,000.00 mile service. They tell me Mercedes is aware of the problem in some models. They said they will need a whole day to reset the computer?? Anybody got this solved?

Yes there appears to be a timeout period between when the car will let yo do service resets. I had same problem when DIY 40k mile service.

Snot rocket, please inform where on YouTube there are apparent videos on how to reset to “Service Warnings” that light up the Dash every time one is in the car? I have Star/Xentry and can’t even figure out where I should go to reset it? And I, at this point, am no newbie!

Well here’s the link for all you DIY’rs owners of the W211 M156 out there who are either secure in their know how or who may have the audacity to do their own tinkering when it comes to their own cars “service” and not want to constantly be reminded of when such service should have been administered!
