Hi fellas, having been doing g my oil change via extraction from the top for ages, I would like to continue saving a couple of bucks but with the 2022 GLC300 not having a dip stick, has anyone figured out how to extract the engine oil from the top? I don't have a lift to lift the car up nor want to crawl under the car to get to the drain plug. Brainiacs any ideas?

You may have better luck posting in the right forum. This is the GLC AMG forum. The AMG V8 still has a dipstick. Not sure about the V6 in the 43, though, but for the GLC 300 you wanna post here: https://mbworld.org/forums/glc-class-x253-203/

Having said that, sometimes engines still have a dipstick tube, but covered with a plug. I've also read that a way to do it is to remove the oil filter and suck it out through the oil filter tube. Depends on where the oil filter is located. Many are at the top of the engine for ease of changing.

What is the objection to crawling under the car?

43's do have a dip stick. It is to the right side and just behind the intake cover Red "V". Here's a video where a guy does a top/vacuum system on a C43. For the GLC300, think you will have to crawl underneath and pop off the cover to drain the engine. I can't find any other way-

Have you tried through filter housing? For those engines the filter and dip sticks are side by side. But in H247 2.0 they took out the dipstick. As oil filter housing sits very low so the extractor tube should work through there
