”Run-flat tires suck because they make your car ride poorly and they're both heavy and expensive, but you know what's even worse? Having run-flat tires improperly installed on your wheels. Unfortunately, that's precisely what some 6,300 2018 Lexus LS 500 and LS 500h owners are dealing with now, according to Wednesday's recall notice from Lexus' parent company, Toyota.
The recall states that because the tires were improperly fitted to the vehicle's wheels at the factory, a crack could develop in the run-flat tire's reinforced sidewall, which can lead to the separation of parts of the tire's tread layer. Things could get kind of crashy from there.
Thankfully, not only is this a relatively small recall, but the fix is easy and involves fitting four brand-new tires to the vehicle. This recall repair will be done without cost to the vehicle's owner.”

tech is included (blind spot, etc..). I have added amg exterior, so need to economize somewhere (yeah, I know, economizing would be keeping the 2018 gle I have, sigh...).

Now if I can only make a final on the wheels, I think I'm done adjusting the order. hopefully. before I drive the dealer crazy. er.

i have Custom ordered every new vehicle but three for the past 40 years and this is the first time (that I can recall) that the Configurator wasn’t open online in a timely manner. Normally the Dealer system is up early for initial ordering of the dealers initial inventory and the Configurator a month or so later. Some issues always occur with a redesign where so many suppliers, parts and accessory packages are all new. Mercedes may not be anxious to start getting retail orders while they are still building Dealer inventory Worldwide and smooth factory production. Then there is already a backlog of retail orders evidenced by new orders with reported build dates 90+ days out. All will be forgotten when we get our new rides🤗
