Wanted it.. But this was on the dealer lot. it seemed to be the only loaded 450 in a 500 mile radius..
As far as the leather goes.. I usually get the interiors of my cars ceramic coated and use zaino leather cleaner/conditioner once a month. No stains or color transfer for years of use on other cars
My production date is June, last I heard. I've been out of town for a couple of days, but probably will call or go by dealer this weekend to get an update.
The dealership finally got a 450 on lot (their demo was sold quickly, leaving just a few 350's), but there's no point in driving it, it seems not to have airmatic on it.
(and why on earth, as in a lot of cars I've checked on dealer sites, would they spec the car with air balance but not airmatic?????.)
There is a valve. Usually there to quick heat the catalytic converters.
Thanks. Wow, that detail at the outlet is sure funky - nothing like the one posted above. I don't think the valve has anything to do with heating - in my M4 it's strictly for sound in Sport mode (one pipe bypasses the muffler).

So, my order went through with full MBUX Technology package and the Flamed Black Ash trim, but my production started 2/27. Not sure at what point your options are locked in and immune from future changes in the DOG. What's your production date, Beth?
My car finished production last Saturday, 4/6 and shipped 4/8; showing ETA to dealer of 4/24. I'm selling my current car 4/21 and dealer offered me a loaner for the gap. I'm getting excited now! This is from NetStar today:
So delivery ETA has slipped a little, showing 4/25 to the railhead, then will be a couple days to the dealer. Dealer says the ETA always slips. If it gets to the dealer 4/27, likely will be 4/29 before we get it.
My GLE arrived today exactly as scheduled! I hope to take a look tomorrow but won’t take delivery until later this week when the Xpel film install is completed.
That is great! I know you guys that put in the early orders have been anxiously awaiting your GLE's. I had an order that my dealer was trying to place and then the leather interior that the wife wanted was not going to be available until December. Thought we could wait but had a change of heart this weekend and bought a fully loaded Audi Q7. I currently drive an Audi sedan so the transition between vehicles with the MMI system will be easy for the wife and myself. The Q7 we are getting has the adaptive chassis package which includes 4 wheel steering. The turning radius in tight spots is better than the A4. It is quite impressive. My wife was really looking forward to saying "Hey, Mercedes" to control features, though. Oh well. I will still hang out here and see how things are going for everyone with their new GLE's. My best to all of you.

I really don’t know what product is-since everyone claims their product is best. I think they are all good. I go with the installer and have had Xpel on my last three and I think Clear Bra before that. Only two owned over 3 years and both looked great. I learned early to use care when applying wax to avoid wax lines on the exposed edges. They can wrap some edges but haven’t seen anyone wrap them all. Xpel supposedly is self healing but I had a large rock ding on my truck bumper that didn’t tear but made a bubble. My installer will repair and replace damage at no cost.
I had one install done by the Lexus dealer on a dark Gray color that had bubbles and scuff marks. I had them remove it and took it to another installer. Dark colors show any blemishes. My guy likes to keep them overnight and once pulled the hood material for a redo. I liked that he did it proactively after calling to see if was OK.
There are some bad installers along with lots of good ones. I went price shopping a few years ago while checking on window film. A guy at Tint World had the highest price for both car and windows so I quizzed him about what any flaws. He said it’s normal to have some small bubbles, water lines or minor blemishes but they would go away in a few weeks. Yea right, have never seen a single flaw on any the next day so I went elsewhere for the windows.
Ordered mine in December. Picking up Thursday. It's on the truck!
Congratulations. They are starting to come in. Got a purchase order on mine today to facilitate the part I'm financing. Found out the state, which has never had a sales tax, slipped in a "Privilege Tax" of 0.5% a cuople years ago. I know I don't expect much sympathy out there on that one!
