Greg, I got one early on, and then one came two weeks ago that I dind't notice was missing seats and lights. Are you saying there's a chance a shipment will come in if I keep this build? I can't imagine they wouldn't be hurrying to get seats in, since I'm sure lots of people want the head/ventilated seats. Maybe not the intelligent lights as much in demand.
Don't go without the intelligent lights, they are brilliant.

If your order is missing items, there is no chance they will reappear on their own. My comment about the delivery was an aside. My main point is you should make the dealer go through the order history and explain how it happened that things were removed. That didn't happen without the dealer's action. Unfortunately knowing that will likely not solve your issue.

Well, I just talked to my dealer, and he said that they had hoped to add the things in that Netstar wouldn't let them order weeks ago, but the cars got red-lined without notice (which I guess is atypical). So, the only thing now is to do the order for late August deliveries. This time he can get everything that my husband wants, and everything is available that I want, except my interior choice (black/grey). I'm going to make decision by tomorrow on black interior. He's going to try to find info on whether the interior I want is expected to be available soon or not. I would wait if it's not months. I think a lot of dealers must be pretty frustrated with the process at this point. Good news is, the intelligent lights were not a problem ordering yesterday.

If I get all black interior, I will probably go from white car to gray (which I like both, but thought the amg exterior was a bit more showy on the white car vs. gray). Going away from the tan interior (on all previous mercedes) is a big change to me either way.

Yes, I agree they are boring. And to limit the choices further at this point is a bit ridiculous. Of all things to run out of, you would think leather wouldn't be scarce. On the other hand, they really do push the mbtex.

I'm going Dinamica/MBTex, partly because I wanted to stay under $95k, and partly because it's different and I liked a similar upholstery in my '06 ML. It's warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer. Also is used in may high-end cars. I wish the surrounds were leather, though.

Until now I had not keyed in on the fact that Polar appears to be more of a pure white than Arctic, which has a tinge of warmth to it. They could have called Polar "Appliance White," but that doesn't have a good ring to it. Not sure if I'm going to like it or not.
I traded in my polar white (2015) for the iridium silver (2018) and immediately missed the white. I've seen a few newer diamond white metallic around, and to me they
have just a little too much cream/yellow tinge in the sunlight. I will be going back to the polar white, or the selenite gray. I think they both are beautiful.

I will let every one know how I like it. No, black leather is a safe choice. One of the Nappas with the AMG Line interior would be best. I've got a new hign-end mirrorless camera and 28-70/f2.8 lens coming tomorrow, so look forward to taking some good shots.

100% truth. If not getting it exactly as you want, better off letting your CA do a search to see what other dealers may have in the pipe line that are close. Once you g your hands on a copy of the ordering guide, you can make a note of the option codes for your must-have options. You CA can then go into Netstar and do a search by inputting each of those option codes and see what comes up.

I prefer the polar white over arctic. Not too fond of the yellow warm glow on the arctic. The bright white just stands out more in the crowd. Will be ordering polar white with AMG (at least, that's the plan until I saw a photo of the selenite gray with AMG line).

You have the AMG Line interior correct? I was debating on this upholstery as well, but I believe it requires the AMG Line Interior and some of the optional packages that I want cannot be combined with the AMG Line Interior. Probably going to opt for the black textile leather instead.
I'm getting the AMG exterior (in selenite gray now instead of polar white, it was a toss-up, I like them both). You do not have to get the amg interior to do the exterior (I'm not).

Same dilemma here. #firstworldproblem. Was set on polar white until I saw a post in another thread of the Selenite Gray with AMG and it looks really nice. Noted on not being required to purchase AMG interior if you get the AMG exterior. I had originally wanted the Dinamica/MBTex but I believe the AMG Line Interior is required for that upholstery.
I changed from polar white when the order I had in didn't have the seats and lights and got red-lined, but it had the gray/black seats. The gray/black is not available for orders now, so I went for the black. At that point, I decided to go to the selenite grey. The trim I wanted was the metal weave, but since that is not available till january, I'm ordering the H18 grey linden wood (the shiny finish). The dealer was trying to imput everything yesterday, and if there are further problems with ordering, I may just say heck with it and order in January when (hopefully) they get all the supply issues figured out (if that's what's going on)>

Got it. Still finalizing my options but more than likely, the polar white AMG exterior, with black leather + black headliner, with the H46 Aluminum Trim. Have always loved the black/white contrast.

I had a polar white 2012 m350 and loved it (the guys at the service dept. love it too because it's easier to match for scratches than the metallic paints). I did the same; I like Selenite with the Night Package. Silver is too ubiquitous, and as you infer black is maintenance hell. Between the white and grey, white is $720 less expensive, and it is easier to match if needed.

Yes, The Dinamica/MBTex seats are exclusive to the Interior AMG package.
Selenite with night package is what I am getting. Hopefully have it by mid-Sept now. :/
