Emergency rescue info
As I posted in another thread, this is the "Rescue Card" information which is intended for first responders. The QR code to link to this is inside the driver's door jamb, and also inside the fuel filler flap.

Interestingly - the other car manufacturers have been "resistant" and slow to pick up and implement this QR Rescue Code System..

Actually, it's Dutch, but that's just a detail ;-)

A BIG problem with our new car
We got this car as my wife's daily driver. The problem is she finds the seats very uncomfortable, to the point of "killing" her back. Of course she's tried every adjustment; says they are "hard." These are the Sport seats in Dinamica/MB-Tex. We had the sport seats in our '12 and she was fine with them. I find them just fine. Admittedly, she finds the seats in my M4 uncomfortable, as well.

This is a huge issue and I have no idea what to do. After waiting all this time and having everything else perfect! It's not like I can just order another one with different seats and get it in a couple months.

They are standard with the AMG Line Interior package.

That’s one of the worst possible issues you could have. I can only think of one possible solution and that’s an upholstery shop. They may be able to add some Memory Foam or similar but that would require a very special person. I have a friend that specialized in Custom Seats, he did a lot of Planes and Custom Cars before he retired. If you could find someone like that to be trusted with your car it might be a gamble worth taking.
Some people use a Lumbar Pillow but that’s a pain.
My Multicontour seats seem firm but comfortable but I haven’t been on a long trip yet.

I feel very sad for you. My wife is the 'Prince and the Pea' about automotive seating. Part of the reason that I ordered every available option/accessory for my GLE (non-AMG Interior) in hopes of satisfying her 'seating sensitivity'.

The irony was she was OK with the Porsche Recaro race seats in my GT3, no thrilled, but OK.

Good luck finding a solution!

She is going to try to diagnose the issue more precisely. There is plenty of lumbar adjustment, in and out, up & down. No way I would have the seats taken apart. If it's just firmness, I might try a foam pad just set on the surface; if it works, then I'd have it upholstered in matching Dinamica. One of the pitfalls of ordering before there are any cars to try out.

On my 2016 GLE I was able to make the weather radar map a favorite. On my GLE450 I can locate the radar weather map. Anyone?

I had to modify many of the seats for my comfort in the past few vehicles. It isn't a big deal for a vehicle upholster. My Stingray with sports seats were too hard on the side bolsters so I took to cover off and drilled 50 holes in the foam to make them softer and it worked. If your wife finds the sport seats too hard determine what parts are hard and review it with an automotive upholster. You can likely do this for a few hundred rather than trade the GLE in and loose a lot$.

I was just trying to take a look at what my local dealer had in stock today. I noticed one of the builds had this option "Rebuilt DA0 Package" The DA0 package is supposed to be the HUD technology package. It seems like some of the SUV's have this instead of the tech package on the options list. Anyone have any idea what that means?

EDIT: take that back, the DA0 is the technology package.

Both the 350 and 450. I misspoke though, its the tech package.

Heads up
I see now. With the first car I ordered (and cancelled, now am on third order of 2 cars), the heads up display was not going to be available. So the rebuilt package is everything DA0 had except heads up. That's what I think it means. They subtract 300.00 for the heads up omission.

You're welcome. I googled (of course), and there are many cars for sale like that. I think they must all be from that period of time when it was restricted. Just another reason I keep re-ordering and letting others have my spots.

From early production early production up thru now - the added Option DQ1 - "Rebuilt DAO Package" = Head Up Display & Augmented Nav - no Interior Assistant. The Interior Assistant reportedly at the factory end has been buggy.

Several of the early 2020 GLE's with DAO (all three incl Interior Assistant) - were converted to DQ1 at the factory - and this new option code DQ1 was added also as a ongoing order option.

Frankly - Interior Assistant was a last-gasp add on option by Product Management to "match" a BMW feature - and frankly not really worthwhile for $300..

Other than the DQ1 factory changeover - I have not seen any "red lining" from the factory - meaning where the factory has dropped ordered options from the final production/built unit.

The factory issue from my side has been production #'s - and so far what rigs that have been delivered to my shop have been as ordered.

The only somewhat better news - for the past 2-3 weeks when a rig gets released to VPC - it does get released to carrier fairly smoothly - where just a few weeks ago rigs that went into VPC often (sometimes always) got snatched back to production. Fewer/if-none "false VPC".

Dealers have no control or insight on what rigs on their backorder' s with the factory as to what gets finished up 1st/next/etc - however now if a rig gets released to VPC it does get shipped.

Other than three personal "favor's" so far where I was able to reach in on a specific right thru a specific German buddy while he was exec visiting at Vance - and he got each rig finished up like zap/done - which was kindof wierd like 1-day/done. Don't ask - he's back in Germany for the next few weeks.

The other ongoing OK news - what I have seen get shipped is righteous - with two minor caveats - (1) on the Cooper tire thing - yes Cooper is a new brand MB approved manufacturer for certain specific sizes of "MOT" - or "Mercedes Original Tire Design". (2) Yes - the Mercedes Map Version shipped out has a Over-The-Air update-able version already available - which was originally discovered on this forum by a couple members (thanks for that) however MB has not issued clear dealer instruction on how to assist customers with checking map version - and/or dealers have not had clarity on how/when the OTA update gets triggered automatically.

Keep the beat !

In my experience a back issue is usually related to the Lumbar area and the seat back. A cushion will move her back up the seat changing the fit so that’s a great place to start. I mentioned that my seats were firm but comfortable. After spending all day sitting I have a different opinion. After about 3 hours my thighs started bothering me and no amount of seat adjustment helped. My wife thought the seats were “just OK” but got a backache later in the day. Some things not quite right for us but I can’t see anything obvious. Eight plus hours is asking a lot from a seat but I too have some work to do.

I have figured out my issue. My Multi Contour seats have a feature that extends the front and when they are all the way in there’s a slight hump at the front. Extended out they are flatter but bunch up in a hump when all the way in. I’m about 5’11” so can’t extend the seats to eliminate the hump without causing another problem. The seat bottom looks to be unusually deep.

Edit: I have extended them all the way out but there is still a slight hump. Lowering and tilting forward may work since that puts my feet on the floor and keeps thigh off the seat front.

So placed my order end of April and was advised today build slot was accepted and build ETA would be around September, and delivery likely to be in October or November. Yikes.
