Where are you located - Canada?
I assume you have some ability to regulate volume and direction of air with the vents, but not set a separate temperature from the front or different fan speed.
The only stitched dash available is the MBTex/Artico which is the separate option. It's really a better product for that application than leather and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference,
All we can do is try to discern from the various video and written "first reviews" at this point. If the Airmatic is like the current one, you can manually raise it for off road (2.3" on W166), and it automatically lowers the car 1/2" at speed. There are two firmness settings on my ML, Comfort & Sport. A couple review quotes:
"If you don’t want to spend the money on the electronics, the air suspension is also smooth and offers the ability to raise and lower the GLE. For those who have an eye on the bottom line, the basic suspension is perfectly good. You’ll never feel like you put yourself in a penalty box if you go with the base GLE." – Car & Driver
"The GLE can be had with three suspensions. The first GLE 350 we sampled had good ol’ steel springs, which provide a nice balance: The ride is firmer than we expected (a nod, we assume, to BMW drivers who find traditional Mercedes SUVs too softly sprung) but nowhere near punishing. Grip was impressive and likely aided by the wider tires fitted to our test cars. In the curves, the steel-sprung GLE 350 we drove felt more responsive and eager than Mercedes SUVs of yore, though calling it fun-to-drive might be stretching the truth. Next, we drove a GLE 450 with the Airmatic suspension, which reminded us of why we’re so fond of air springs. The ride is glass-smooth with excellent body control in the curves. It’s the perfect setup that should please enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike." - Automobile
There have not been any specs published yet. I have seen two different front calipers in photos, one quite small, one quite large:
I'm not sure if the difference is between the 350 & 450 or perhaps the AMG package. The DOG does note for the AMG Line Exterior package, "Sports braking system with perforated front brake discs, larger brake size and caliper trim with 'Mercedes-Benz'" I

also, the big brakes (2nd pic) seems like a package with the E-ABC on .de or .uk so it got me thinking

Brake size
Edit: Okay, found it on the German Konfigurator, "The fully active E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL suspension stands for sovereignty in every situation. This ensures comfort, precision and dynamics - on and off paved roads. Thanks to the high-performance brake system with larger brake discs, the power can be precisely controlled in any terrain." Yes, those brakes look awesome! I'm surprised the US order guide doesn't list this feature - seems like a big sales plus for that expensive package. I have edited post #1500 to show the three available brake types (front only shown).

Brake options
Me, too! I'm stoked and I'm surprised it took us this long to figure this out - thanks to the Newbie, oda, for the prompt! See my edit of #1500 showing the three types. This is huge!

kinda disappointed with the crappy brakes (base and amg line) mercedes is offering for gle, i thought mercedes does 4 piston as basic brakes, now they look like 2 to me? These brakes will look tiny if you opt for 22” wheels, x5 has 4piston as standard and x5 msport has 6 piston if i remember correctly.
i would not opt for the E-ABC as tax for options are 100 to 115% , so a 8k usd option will become 16k+ usd, and sometimes HK dealer charges more...

Despite the fact they don't look too cool, be assured they work just fine. My '12 ML 350 has performed well in the braking department. The GLE 450 weighs ~5,000 lbs and is rated to tow ~7,500 lbs. - it has to have good brakes.
I understand what you are saying about the visual impact, though. You can get fake caliper covers, https://www.ebay.com/i/253587764470?chn=ps, if you're so inclined.

Her's a news feed...you may not get them!Progress toward easing the steep tariffs China imposed on U.S. vehicle imports this year lifted carmaker stocks across the globe, as investors wagered on a thawing of tensions that have damaged the world’s biggest automotive market.
Toyota Motor Corp. and Hyundai Motor Co. tracked earlier gains for Daimler AG, General Motors Co. and Tesla Inc. after Bloomberg News reported that a proposal to eliminate the 25 percent surcharge slapped onto U.S.-made cars this year has been submitted to China’s cabinet. The plan would be reviewed in coming days, people familiar with the matter said.

GLE brakes
The AMG Exterior Line package and the E-ABC package both come with brakes upgraded from the base car. It seems there needs to be more than one price for these packages, depending on how you configure the car. I.E., if you get the AMG EL pkg. you are buying a brake upgrade, then if you get E-ABC you are doing the same, but not getting credit for the partial upgrade in the AMG package (E-ABC costs same w/ & w/o AMG Exterior Line pkg. We'll see if the next DOG addresses this. Would have been nice if the offered the E-ABC brakes as an option on the lesser suspensions.

Damn.. I hoped the US configurator would be up and running by the end of the LA Auto Show, with the release of the base price. Wonder what's the hold up.

More info please. I was in Saturday the 8th looking at the same Prliminary DOG as I made revisions to my order. If there were changes they were insignificant and the base price was missing even though it had been announced several days earlier. I might easily have missed an item or two that might have changed but no new DOG.
Edit-one thing I noticed was the trim that said brown Ash now shows black so some editing may have been done.

E-ABC brakes
Found this pic of front brakes that come with E-ABC option; appears they may be fixed caliper design. Mercedes wheel design with the wide sloping outer rim makes the rotors fill out the opening more.
