Has anyone asked their dealer what the hold up on the updated DOG is?
As far as I know the dealers will only know the day it is updated. I’m guessing (hoping) that one will be out soon since the last two prelims were the first of the month, 7th & 4th.
I forgot to mention about inventory. I checked several large dealers in the West and they are virtually out of GLE’s. I’m sure there are more in other areas. One dealer that had over 80 in November is now down to just 4 now. There’s no reason for MB to hold back.
My dealer is showing 53 ‘18 & ‘19s in stock, including 8 Coupes.

X7 numbers came out. Spoke to two dealers. Wanted full MSRP. Base car no option 76.5 was 1163 with over 6k due at signing on a 8 percent tax 36/15. Ouch.
X5 there are reports of dealers going under invoice which is appealing to me as I don't want to spend more than 1k. My wife wants the big GLS but it'll be replaced soon

Pricing is out for everything but a few options. It seems pretty comparable to the X5. Base 450 w/ 3rd row is $64.2k. I have attached the last Dealer Order Guide, which is not 100% final yet. Those of us that ordered in November have early February builds, so should see cars in early March. Ordering now would push those dates out. Configurator should be up soon, but nothing definite from MBUSA.

A few have reported getting some deals, but in general deals much below MSRP will be hard to come by for a while after release.

I didn’t count the Coupes or AMG models that aren’t being replaced. My thought was that the timing of the release might depend on carry over numbers. If inventory is getting low then MB may decide to move a few weeks sooner. But since it’s a slower time of the sales season maybe that won’t be a factor. Also checked a few more dealers and got 0, 1, 3 & 4 non AMG or Coupes.
Greg your dealer has more than the six I checked combined. Mercedes Beverly Hills has one 350, MB San Diego has Six 400’s....no 350’s. Since some of these are probably Service Loaner vehicles the “for sale” numbers are even lower.
I also included a screenshot in #1573 - results may vary. Even with improved aero and electric assist, given the current GLE 400 is rated at 20 combined (same as my 2012), and given the Euro numbers, no way it will be close to 28. 23 would be a reasonable guess. I'm willing to place a wager on that

The GLE450’s 48-volt electric system provides some assist and allows the crossover SUV’s gas engine to turn off under light load cruising situations, which should help fuel economy
On our initial preview drive, we saw an indicated 30 mpg in mostly highway driving in the GLE350 and 27 mpg on a similar route in the GLE450.
The GLE450’s turbocharged inline-6 is paired to a 48-volt mild hybrid system that adds power and should save fuel. EPA fuel-economy ratings aren’t yet available, but the trip computer said that my test car averaged nearly 30 mpg in mixed driving. A similar drive in a GLE350 returned roughly the same number.

Wow, so that $93k vehicle is sans a leather interior/seating surfaces?!?
For the record a base GLE 450 with Premium 1 and MBUX Technology Package would be less than $66k. Many buyers avoid costly options but I've always wanted them and have been willing to pay to play. But I'm certain a base 350 or 450 will be a very fine SUV.

Pretty tough when MSRP goes up $5k. Previous increases were incremental, but it’s right in the ballpark with the competition.
