Does anyone know when the first GLEs will land on dealer lots?
Coming off a lease in March and wanted to walk into a GLE, but im afraid the timing might now work out... Does anyone know when these things will actualy hit the showrooms?

I would discuss things with your lease manager at your dealership. Perhaps they may be able to extend your lease by 2-3 months until the new GLE arrives. I'd hurry though if I were you.

My lease ends in April. I’ve talked to dealers for leasing options. They expect me to pay the asking prices - no negotiations or discounts. When does Mercedes typically offer incentives on new models? I don’t mind waiting a few months for incentives. It’s just not right to pay full price.

It does not seem like we answered the original question. Does anybody know when the cars will arrive at dealers in the US?
I'd like to see the car in person and drive it before finalizing our decision to buy one. A few weeks ago our dealer seemed to think it would be "sometime in March" but they didn't seem too sure.

Looks like they are having trouble making them as fast as planned:
"Weitere Anlaufprobleme gibt es auch beim neuen GLE (V167). Man hat im Werk Tuscaloosa die Automation und Digitalisierung deutlich erhöht und hat nun auch erst einmal mit Problemen zu kämpfen. So wurde auch die Markeinführung von 16.02.19 auf den 23.03.2019 verschoben. Es ist also insgesamt damit zu rechnen, dass die Verkäufe im 1. Quartal 2019 geringer ausfallen könnten."

FEBRUARY 14 - "MAYBE" RELEASED THIS WEEK
While I was with MB Tues/Weds - and everbody was saying "we really don't know when" - someone instructed Vance to begin start printing Window Stickers and Vance began releasing 1st units to Shipper's Weds night .... both GLE350's and GLE450's - "Dealer Demo Units".
That said - some tDealer Demo Units printed/release-to-carrier last night have already been "Canceled".... so we will see what we will see over the next few days.
If these Dealer Demo Units are in fact released this week - "unknown" if they will be "Strict-Demo-Only-Not-Sell-Now" - like the A-Class sedans at dealers now...
That's "the story" as of tonight.

My local dealer told me today the new GLE's have been released from the plant and will receive 2 demo units within the next few days and the sale units soon thereafter. I'll post when they arrive

where are you located? I did a search on cars.com and they show something like 60 cars listed on dealers websites right now, and has been increasing daily. Most are located on the east coast or middle of the country. Probably has to do with the distance from the factory so places like California will see the car last. Looking forward to a test drive soon if my dealer can get the demo...

Please understand that when Dealer Demo units are checked into dealer inventory - often the automated dealer inventory system auto uploads to web services like cars.com/carguru's/autotrader and the like. Just because something is auto listed on those sights does not necessarily mean it is available for retail sale.
"Most" true production has "moved" out into 1st two weeks of March - some production units that showed release last week has been canceled and are still at VPC.
Won't be too much longer - but "might" be 2-3 weeks yets - we will see what we will see.
