Nice car. We are wondering why your wheel bolts are black, not silver/chrome. We got a 450 with the AMG line exterior with the night package and the 20" AMG 5 spoke wheels with black accents. However, our wheel bolts are chrome not black. Did your car come with black wheel bolts or did you add them later? Yours look better than ours. We tried to get them in black, but the dealer said the only way to do that was to replace them all with black locking bolts.
Where it started with me and Mercedes - I had one of the first MLs in 1997. This is my '98 before and after I painted the wheel arches and fascias and made a few other "improvements."

How do you find the running boards. Are you happy with them or are they in the way?
They don't bother me, but they don't really come out far enough from the side of the vehicle to be functional. I step past them directly to the ground. I'm 6-foot-1, so it's not much of an issue. I do like the look of them, but I can see how they could be bothersome to others.

Yeah, I think they add a little bit to the all black look. My wife is not a fan because she fears if she wears light colored pants and tries to overstep them on the way out they will get dirt on them. thanks
