You really don't like the "diamond studded" grille? Most seem to think it is far more attractive than the standard two-bar grille.
I definitely like the diamond studded grille better vs the basic one, but I like the GLE 63 AMG grille even more! If I could get a part number for that one, I'd buy it 😊

No. I think it looks like it has some sort of spotted disease. It was a big turn off when we looked at other models before we order the e class we have now. It’s not a deal breaker for me since I’m pretty sure I can get someone to swap out a 53 grill (when I can order one somewhere) and hopefully they are interchangeable. My wife hates it though and says she doesn’t want it (this will be my car and she can keep her race car so I have the final say so). But after I drove a 580 yesterday I’ll find a way to swap out the grill.
Has anyone seen a blacked out diamond grill on a GLE?

Am I alone in this or are there others feeling the way I do, Im disenchanted with my 2020 GLE350 Selenite gray exterior with the AMG package, it was fun and something new to learn when I got it back in march 2019, but as the days pass, the less inclined Im to keep it, doesn't feel as centered as my previous 2016 GLE350, had a few issues that according to dealership were taken care of.
one of them being replacing the brake pads and front rotors as well as the rear ones, recently at around 6K miles of driving the car mostly on weekends only.
my only consolation is waiting for lease to reach its end, and maybe swap to the GLE53 if still a thing, if not, might be jumping ****.
I had have others MB before this one, including
2006 Acura MDX
2007 ML350
2009 ML550
2016 GLE350
and a 2012 Audi Q5 S Spec, I liked something about each of those and this one is hard to like currently, or is just me, what you guys think

It's an unfortunate truth the the more technology is applied to a vehicle, the less engaging it is to drive. I'm not the daily driver of our 450, so it's still kinda' fun when I drive it. Even though I bypassed all the "driver's assistance" nannies, compared to my manual shift BMWs you are still sort of being transported rather than driving, to a degree.
What was the issue with the brakes at that low mileage?
I took the car to the dealer twice because the brake pedal felt like it was getting stuck when applying pressure to brake. Dealer couldn't replicate the issue on the 1st visit, so when I received the survey For the 1st visit I responded back that the issue was still present, to which the dealer called me the next day to bring the vehicle back.
Lo and behold, on 2nd visit they found the issue, this is from the invoice:

I’m new to the forum, been a member for a while but was only looking and not posting.
i have owned a few Mercedes over the last few years - SLK, 2015 E220 Cabrio and 2017 E220 Cabrio.
This is my 2020 Mercedes GLE300d premium plus package in solid black.
Sadly in the UK we don’t get the option of a night or black out package so I had to do it myself. A friend of mine owns a body shop so he took the job on. He dechromed and colour coded the whole car inc side steps, exhaust, front grill, roof rails etc. De-badged the rear, tinted the front windows to match the rear, He also made me a cut down license plate holder too.
Next on the list is a set of black 22’s and then the car will be exactly how I like it.
before :
after :
The side steps are my fav mod, look so my back different colour coded :
Most of the chrome has been wrapped in either gloss or Matt black and others were painted.
Chrome window trim - gloss black wrap
Roof Rails - gloss black wrap
Exhaust - gloss black wrap
Rear boot/trunk trim - gloss black wrap
Door handles - gloss black wrap
Rear - removed gle and 4matic badge, painted Matt black star
rear bumper trim - solid black paint
side steps - gloss black and Matt black paint
front grill - gloss and Matt wrap
front bumper - gloss black wrap
really didn’t like the pieces on the stock car that was left unpainted and just plastic. Think it made the car look cheap. It’s so much better colour coded.
M4CES, did the silver grill blade just pop off? I’m assuming it does that on other models too. Also, did you take the whole diamond grill off to paint it? If so, did you have to recalibrate the distronic?
The grill was wrapped instead of painted. The wrapping company cut vinyl the exact size of each diamond and put them on by hand - they said it was a long tedious job 😂
The grill star was also wrapped in situ as they wasn’t sure about the distronic system.
we only removed the bits we could and the rest was wrapped on the car
My blue collection, I highly recommend the RWE wheel option. 315 width in the rear and the Matt black paint on the wheel is so much nicer in real person. I usually change rims on all the cars. But I might keep this one on.

A quick question, dose your AMG53 have race start?
