They are definitely beautiful but I would not trade the comfort of my 20" wheels against them.

well had a GLE on order. Order placed 2/25/19 was built on 5/26/19 and then put into the waiting game like the other 30k cars.

found this one at a dealer in Orlando and we were able to dealer trade for it.

2020 GLE 450 4Matic.

Quote: Original order was placed Oct last year, confirmed Nov - went into production mid Jan - got a VIN .....20xxx, expected end of March - that got stuck in B4 status - never showed up. SA was advised to reorder in late Apr. - took that opportunity to drop MBUX Interior Assist (rather have sunglass storage), add 21" multi spoke wheels and Acoustic Comfort Package (which was dropped on the first order)

Not Bob, but I have 21s and find the ride plenty plush in Comfort mode. I have EABC, but I would think standard Airmatic would not be much different.

thanks,
i currently drive a 2017 GLS550 with 21" and active curve system, the only issue i have is i find the wheels to be too heavy vs a GLS450 with 20"
im ordering a GLE580 cant decide which wheels to go with

I'm in the same situation and will be ordering a GLE580 soon. I am also trying to decide between the standard 20" or to go up to the 21" wheels. I live in the Great Lakes snow belt, so we get plenty of snow and road potholes. I would like to hear from someone who has had the 21's through some bad winter pothole-ridden roads. Comfort and durability are a concern with the lower profile 21's. Input from other people may help me determine what is best for me in this situation.

Scorpio - seems as smooth, a bit more muted than my wife's gle350 w/ spring suspension on broken pavement.
In COMFORT mode mild speed bumps etc all but disappear with surface scan / e-abc + airmatic.
Pushing through corners in CURVE or SPORT+ mode is nice with the extra traction provided by the wider rubber.
My winters will be 20" Pirelli Scorpions - will be able to make a better comparison then.

Come to think of it - this suspension with 21" wheels is more comfortablethan my airmatic 2016 gle was with 20" amg wheels.

I would think you would want dedicated Winter wheels/tires. I even have them for our relatively benign Winters.

Quote: That would be great here. We were the national "winners" of the Snow Globe award 2 years ago with 200" of snow. I would order that in a minute. My wife always complains when I direct the heat at force to the defroster because she says that it drys out her eyes and her contacts bother her. It's always a compromise in keeping the windshield clear and keeping her happy. I think the heated windshield would be a win win for me!
it’s sad that the US gets less options than the rest. In Canada they can get wood with heated steering wheel and nappa leather airbag covers. The US only gets either or. No option for leather

Here we go folks, took delivery today! Nearly 6 months of waiting time, lots of headaches but my god, she's a spaceship.
The craftsmanship, solid feel, MBUX... totally worth the wait. Frankly, its a beast, and am I a bit scared of it.
This car commands respect

Took delivery of this gorgeous thing last month!
2020 GLE 350 4Matic
Black, MagmaGrey/Black leather, Natural Grain Grey Oak Wood trim, Crystal grey headliner,
20" 10-spoke wheels, illuminated running boards, pano roof, trailer hitch,
3rd row seats, driver assist-parking assist-premium packages, MBUX with augmented video navi.

Amazing ride! Still trying to figure everything out! A little overwhelmed! (My apologies if I ask a lot of newbie questions)
Minor issue with navi system which wouldn't load. Dealer service took car for a week - tried to update software, ultimately needed to replace radio head unit and update software, now functioning normally.
Minor issue with center armrest console doors that don't open properly - dealer aware and awaiting new springs from Mercendes-Benz.
Cheers!
