Things moving along...
Well, the second car that I ordered (and let go because they bumped off the ventilated seats and intelligent light system), came in today only a few days late, and my third (and hopefully last order this time) he said is on track. The car has the leather not available the third time around (gray and black leather), and is gorgeous, and someone is going to love it, but the lights and vent seats were more important to me. Seems like more cars are being released in last week or so, so maybe production is back on track, y'all.

So finally after chasing my Sales Manager for three days I got a confirmation that MB pulled the order I made in May and have allocated a build date of September 1st.
He also said that they are no longer able to make any changes to the configuration so I guess that's good news as well. Hopefully I get it by end of September.

Car shows produced on 5-9-19 and waiting for items. Anyone know what items the production line is waiting on. Dealership just says production team states they don’t know when car will ship. Any help is appreciated

I'm not optimistic that my GLE 450 will arrive in the next two weeks, but if it does, I'm a little torn about what to do about our upcoming family road trip to New Hampshire. On the one hand, the GLE has more cargo space than our Lexus and it would give me a good opportunity to get some miles on it and get to know it. On the other hand, this thread has me worried about some of the issues that could pop up on the way, and I'm not sure I want to deal with them with two young kids in the car.

I did just that-soon after getting mine I took a 1300 mile road trip. It gave me a chance to get to know the car much better than taking short trips around town or sitting in the driveway. It also made the time pass a little quicker playing with all the settings and Nav. I found Distronic to take some adjustments to what I expected. It’s more of a “super cruise” IMO and less polished than I expected. MBUX is a very good Infotainment, integrated system but still takes some time to learn. I think the trip helped my wife also since she could learn without the stress of doing it while driving.
