Production delays/ timeline

A bit off topic. I work for a German base company, they love using lower wage top European university graduates. Put them in charge of CIP or any new programs with out any experience or people skill. Big job title at young age sometime did work out well. Often times they pissed off lower level management or team leader that actually get the job done. I watched a YouTube video the New GLE is run by a young German Lady not saying she did a bad job but I have a feeling it’s the same stuff going on from a outsiders view.

We stopped in Bessemer, AL on the way to our vacation this week (which we wanted to do in our new GLE, but...).
We were told by more than one person that the old Westlake Mall was storing GLEs, but when we checked it out, it was empty.
Either they were mistaken, or maybe they've been moved/pulled back into production sometime soon?
The pics shared by black06c230 are at the old Century Plaza Mall in Birmingham -- different location.

The other thing I noticed is that many religiously tend to not report problems up the chain, in a way "everything is fantastic and according to plan, boss" attitude even if this isn't the case.
Out of curiosity, are you in the transportation industry?

Funny you should say that, because I too, work for a German based company and have noticed the exact same thing you are describing. Well educated, zero practical experience promotions.

At MBUSA - the current HR model - if you are a selected candidate - your 1st Interview is thru FaceTime - and in addition to the quality of your interactive answers - the session is recorded and analyzed by AI program that gives a personality profile based on your facial reactions and expressions.

It puzzles and frustrates me that I can order and track a £1 item from Amazon from anywhere on the planet all the way to my house but Mercedes can't or won't or don't want to offer me the facility to track a £70,000 GLE. My dealer is equally frustrated and is having to call Mercedes for updates! NETSTAR just isn't cutting it or it's not being updated!

MB IMO is out of control with this issue. Big business operates in committees and group decisions, when an exception happens it takes time to turn the ship.

as per yesterday my dealer could not tell me where is my car nether mb Canada , my vin number is almost 2 month old and code is B =-4-6-2 and stays like this for almost 2 month as well. I don't know where to find production day. I suppose to receive my GLE on 26 /07 but all numbers staying the same with no change for 2 month. I asked my sales person maybe I should reorder but she stated to wait for few more weeks. is there anyone how has more information for MB in Canada

2018 E63S wagon, 2016 GLE350d, GLE450 on order
Same situation here as well. Ordered my GLE450 in January, had vin assigned in Feb and stuck in B4 status since then. Ordered from head office in Toronto, been emailing my sales rep twice a week for last few months. All i got was "its coming" and "should be any day now". my biggest mistake was putting down a deposit ( because i ordered e-abc ). When i spoke to my sales rep 3 weeks ago he said that MB Canada re-ordered all GLE orders for "good customers" because of no movement around beginning of August. He said i should expect delivery end of Sept / beginning of Oct , but surprise surprise, has been no movement and no VIN assigned so far.....
