Just got response from my SA that my 580 GLE is scheduled for production, possible delivery end of November / beginning of December. Ordered vehicle end of August.
Just got this email from SA today with regards to 580 GLE delivery:
"I just looked up your vehicle. It has a adjusted Production date of 12/13/19. I will let you know when I see the next update on the vehicle!"
Interesting enough, dealer also mentioned that they just received a GLB today. I didn't see it in on display but he did mentioned it will be on sell in the coming months.

Well my GLE 450 was collected from the dealer yesterday and I had a pleasant 100 mile journey home in the rain. everything seems to perform as it should although in can't smell any perfume in the car yet. One thing that is puzzling me is how to turn on/off the easy access/exit function but its probably quite easy to do. I will put some pics up when the weather is a little better.

The easy entry/exit setting is located under Settings -> Vehicle -> Auto Seat Adjustment
CN owns extensive rail operations in the United States too but the news report indicates it is only Canada going on strike. CN may instruct their US operations and other connecting rail to hold loaded rail cars at origin so the yards closer to the border aren't all gridlocked. It will be a mess for sure and even a strike lasting a few days could mean weeks of cleaning the backlog. Mercedes Tuscaloosa may not even bother to load Canadian finished vehicles onto rail until the strike is over. Any chance Mercedes will make alternate shipping arrangements to Canada? It would be nice to know what the factory will be doing or not doing with the finished product while the strike is on.

They charge us $1995 CAN or converted approximately $1500 USD! I would gladly pick it up at the factory and they can keep the freight charge to just get this as soon as it is built. My build date is Nov.21 GLS580 has been delayed 4 times since May. Tired of waiting so adding time for a tail strike is frustrating.

Had several trips out over the weekend to get used to my new steed and it is more than I had hoped for, comparing well to the Range Rover I have recently sold.
was told by my dealer that MB SUV comes to BC on a ship from state west coast. I guess they rail it to the coast and go by ship up north.
If Oregon gets them by rail & then truck (per Greg) then you are just a little North, might be the same. Maybe your dealer is referring to shipments from Germany but not the USA.

I'm sure Seattle has a rail head to handle autos, as well.
I honestly gave up now on how MB is handling this purchasing experience. waited almost a full year for a GLE. Another month here and there is nothing on the time frame now.

I am surprised at the ride on 22's. If I had to compare to the Range Rover I have just sold I would choose the Merc ride but it would be close so its in good company. I can't as yet seem to get any fragrance from the air balance package even though it appears to be switched on but it may be operator error, also the hold function on the parking brake is still a mystery on how to operate. in fact if I am honest most of the electronic function are still a mystery but I am sure the knowledge will come with time.
Try turning on fragrance with voice control - "air freshener on"
Hold function is one of the best function on mercs, when the car has come to a stop just push brake down a little further and it comes on, it says hold in head up, to move off just touch accelerator.
