Have you tried carplay or android auto? Various nav apps have this feature.

Just got back from a two week trip and about 1500 miles. After all the Software updates and battery disconnect, my car seemed to be much better with only minor problems. Using the GLE around town seems like things are OK until I take a road trip. Now I am beginning to see issues gradually building with Distronic and Nav again. IMO, there almost certainly continues to be Software conflicts or Systems throwing corrupt files to MBUX. I’m thinking about doing another hard boot to the System by disconnecting the battery. Last time the Dealer did this there were quite a few things that reset or were back to Factory. iNext time there is a reboot I’ll note the changes so I can go back and re-enter everything.
Or maybe I should let it go so that the Dealer documents the issues with MB on my 10,000 Service in a month or two.

An example of what I am experiencing:
‘Distronic was gradually building issues previously mentioned to the point that it was dangerous and not working properly. For example the turn signal to change lanes quit working. After the Radar/Camera update it was back working and the accuracy of Distronic decisions on curves and cars in adjacent lanes was much better. Holding a lane at speed improved also. Lane Keep worked better-braking before crossing a lane marker was replaced with the steering wheel vibration as the car got close to a lane marker.
Fast forward to today and the turn signal stopped working again to change lanes. The car brakes unexpectedly and improperly on curves again. At first I thought it might be reading the curve speed limits but soon realized it braked even when there was no reduced limit. At times it brakes gradually and others aggressively. Now it can’t hold the lane frequently at higher speeds agin. For the first time it jerks aggressively when approaching a passing lane on 2 lane roads. The inside lane marker was fairly a sharp arc on several and it was like the system waited until the last second to adjust. Wandering has increased from being fairly good at centering in the lane.
On the plus side I was able to start Nav in an area that had no cell service twice. Nav just disappeared at one point about 15 minutes after gassing with 4 bars on cell service. There one minute....gone the next!
Still love the base car....

Driving in the rain, I often get an error message about how the sensors are dirty and are inoperative.
Interesting as I don't have Distronic, yet still annoying that a wee bit of rain will do that to the ultra-sonic sensors. I imagine winter snow will trigger the warning on a daily basis.

It seems we are still smarter than Skynet for the time being.

Geez, an issue I don’t have. Never had a problem with sensors and mine seems to work decent in rain for Lane Keep and Distronic. But I haven’t been in rain since all of the TSB updates.

My proximity sensors are bugging out at times while driving in rain so they will warn even though the vehicles around me are not that close.

No, I have not......I'd rather not have to pay (stream data) to see the current posted speed limit. Thanks, all for your answers and suggestions. If I get a definite answer one way or the other from Mercedes, I will post. Thanks again.

This is definitely the case. The HUD is really useful, but my eyes are too sensitive to light to be driving on a bright, sunny day without sunglasses.

Just a quick update. I have been complaining about Lane Keep resetting to on each key cycle and got it fixed today. There was a new Recall to check the door trim that was also completed. Finally I had them reset the annoying Service Notice that appeared about 2000 miles and 6 months before it was due.
I don’t think the Lane Keep fix is available yet as a TSB and I was told it required special coding. But a TSB might be coming soon. Personally I don’t want Lane Keep on in winter. The brake correction at higher speeds is aggressive and on a slick road could cause an accident.
I’m told that my local Shop Foreman received an award last year for being rated in the top 6 in the USA for whatever they call the technical part of the job dealing with computer interface of the car.
The guys loved my new wheels and thought they were OEM🤗 Amazing what a new center cap adds!

Do you know, is it just the small trim piece between the operable and fixed glass portions?

I don’t....pretty lame reason for a recall, IMO. Attorneys & law suits seem to be making some of these Recalls border on overkill. Our Audi has one for a trim piece on the rear wheel well.

I’m not rushing in on this one. Attorneys can be useful, but... I love the drug commercials that have to say, “Do not take Xxx if you are allergic to it.” Really?!

Now that I was able to activate the Easy Entry/Exit feature via the website (that setting is not available from the vehicle settings via MBUX) I also realized that the feature is halfway backwards. The steering wheel moves away but the driver seat moves forward, making it very difficult to enter/exit. It even contradicts the image on their website or logic itself. Hopefully a software fix is on the way.

The seat moves backwards, it is the backrest that moves forward..

I think some other people had the same issue which was resolved with a software update.

There was a thread back in July on this: https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...ml#post7800244. Phil said his worked after a software update, but no he's saying the backrest does move forward?

For mine (with FUP 2 Software), the seat move back while the backrest move forward.
The easy entry/exit also have an option to move both the steering wheel and seat, just the steering wheel, or off.

Yes my seat moves backwards but the backrest moves forward, for some reason that's how it is designed, see the handbook. Originally both my seat and backrest moved forward. I now just have the steering wheel moving up, apparently backrest moves forward so as not to stop people getting out of rear.

You're right - that's what it says. Still not sold on the logic.

In addition to keeping leg room for the rear passenger, moving the backrest forward puts the driver in a more upright position, which would also make it easier to exit.

Definitely not a more upright position as it bends you forward over the steering wheel, that's why I disabled it, stupid idea. Not happened on other cars I have had, just the seat moves back and steering wheel up.

My Mudguards for the AMG body came yesterday and I installed them this afternoon. Install took less than an hour but I spent another 1/2 hour double checking everything, messing with a pile of tools and putting them away. I did the install without removing the wheels. The front was easy since I could cramp the wheels out of the way. The back took most of the time and I tried a lot of tools to work with a few fasteners. After winters over I will replace some screws with black Aluminum rivets as I change back to AS tires in Spring. There are only two 10mm nuts in front and bolt screws in back, the rest are push darts and I added a couple of screws here and there. These look to be OEM-they have 2019 GLE stamped on them, the year they are noted everywhere but the US. Likely an extra factory run that they kept to sell on Amazon.
Edit-Forgot there were 4 rivets to drill....one on each wheel.
