I would suggest you contact your dealership for the latter. Responding to the former, most dealerships in high volume areas either refuse to negotiate pricing in advance or do not offer a discount from MSRP at all.

I've been talking with dealers from California to East Texas and up to Colorado for a good price on a special-order GLE580. First, no one I've contacted has any stock at all. Secondly, they aren't entirely sure when they're getting their first units.
Best I have done is $1000 off MSRP, and that's with a dealer I've purchased three new vehicles from. Other than joining USAA or the MBCA (best for the next one, as there appears to be a one-year waiting period on MBCA), does anyone know what memberships someone could consider to cut the price of the car? Costco isn't being honored by anyone I've called on the GLE580, since they don't even have the vehicle yet.

Hey all. New member here. Doing my research to place an order on a GLE 350 in a few months. New grad, planning to order it for my mom as a birthday gift next December for putting me through college etc etc
From what I've been reading it looks like people have been having around a 3 month wait time. Trying to get a feel and figure out how to go about finding a dealer that will do discount. Is that something I would have to negotiate once the vehicle arrives or are there known dealerships that will agree to X% under MSRP when you mention it? Location is not an issue, I've shipped vehicles before, I'm fine with doing it again if the deal is good enough as long as its not like AK or HI lol
I've only had experience special ordering Tacomas and Wranglers and for those vehicles, the forums have lists of dealerships that will honor a set % under MSRP or invoice.
Hoping I won't have an issue finding a dealership in August (since 350, not 450/580/53/63)
Thanks!

For the 350 I have placed my order a few days ago and I have not gotten an ETA, but my guy said that it'll be here by December (we will see). Not sure what kind of options you are looking for but you could always look to pick one up off a lot somewhere if you are not looking for a lot of options or specific build. Usually getting one on the lot will get you a bigger discount. Since location is not an issue, you can search dealer inventory all over the US and see which one has what you want and then negotiate with them directly. As far as discounts, I am not sure where the GLE is at right now since I ordered one, but the 350 should have more discounts and whatnot over the 450, 53 and 580.
I am a member of the ABA (American Bar Association). They offer discounts on the car, but it is probably similar to other orgs out there like MBCA and USAA. The GLE is only 500 off where as the E is 2,500 and the S is 6,500.

I really like those wheels? Any idea if they are available for purchase yet? I'm not fond of the stock rims on my GLE450. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

First started an order for 580 in Feb. and was told around June delivery. Covid hit (plant shut down) and I was told they had no idea when it would get here. I told them to push it to a 2021 model and they said 6 more weeks in late June. That came and went and finally mine got locked into red at the end of Sept. Hopefully it will be delivered the end of Nov or first of Dec. I’m at 3% off right now but I’m going to ask for a few goodies (Service department add ons since I bought so many cars with them) when it gets here.........if I decided to keep it.
I called several. Many would not even move, a few laughed at me, and most could not get an allocation in a reasonable amount of time. I even considered used but they even wanted almost sticker for those with 2-5k miles on them.
Good luck.

We have a GLE 580 on order, hasn't hit build freeze date yet, and was wondering if anyone knows whether there are new 21" wheel options compared to the 2020 model? Right now we're on the 20" with black accents. My wife didn't like the look of the multi-spoke wheels, but we didn't want to go up to the summer-only 22" wheels.
Thanks for the update on pricing, Eaton! That's much better than the placeholder value $111,111 that was in the ordering system.

@TempeAndy where did you see that the 22” wheels were summer only? I might have missed that.

We live in Phoenix, and I know some people run summers all year but tire manufacturers recommend against it below 37 degrees. In December and January, it can get to just below freezing before sunrise. Plus we have an occasional trip to Flagstaff or Williams, too.
On my Cayenne I run summers most of the year and have all seasons I put on for 2.5 months, but I wanted to avoid that hassle with the GLE.

You can find a handful of special A/S 22" sizes exactly like threeMBs says (and I may still consider going this route), but according to my sales advisor if I order it with 22" wheels the vehicle is only delivered with summer tires.

Edit- I had to leave and didn’t finish but this posted somehow. The 22” are beautiful but I didn’t get them for that same reason. The wheels are 10’ & 11” so it takes two different tires in what is almost certainly a special tire made for Benz. There can’t be much demand for either tire.

Keep in mind that the only A/S 22" staggered tire available in GLE's sizes I know of is H speed rated (they are also about $2,500+ a set).
For non-AMG 21" staggered tires, MB is also using A/S mostly H rated tires. 20" tires are square and are all H rated. H speed rated = very soft sidewall = very compromised handling vs. summer Y/W speed rated 21/22" summer tires. For 580, I would definitely go with 22" factory set up (actually a good value), then get aftermarket 20" square wheels/tires from the TireRack, if second set is required.

H rated tires
H rated at 130MPH....”very compromised handling”??? I don’t agree. If you want stiff sidewalls go Runflats. I’m an aggressive driver and my GLE 450 with H rated Michelin’s took all I could give them with the suspension being the weak point. We don’t run these on a race track.
