Water from AC Drain

I have no water on my garage floor after a long drive running the Air. Every car I’ve owned has left a small amount of a condensation puddle on the garage floor when parked. I have tested even parking over paper with zero water each time. I can hear a fan running after parking sometimes that I’m told is intended to remove condensation from the coils.
My car has been in twice for the kinked AC drain Recall and I am told that they are clear. Anyone else have feedback? Is there a catch can gathering the water or do I have a blockage with the water draining inside the vehicle? Has anyone else been getting a water puddle after parking?
Water on my electronics would explain some of my issues.....

Can you try pulling off some of the undercarriage panels and seeing if there’s any water there? Where do the drain hoses actually drain to?

There is a recall for this issue in Taiwan.
https://autos.yahoo.com.tw/news/%E4%...152807670.html

My GLE 300d had check at dealer last week. (Mine does not have this issue.)
And my GLE 300d can found water after long drive (1 hour/ 40Km)

There are two circular holes in the plastic panel under the car, roughly in line with the leading edge of the front doors. Water certainly drips out of those when I’ve got the air conditioning running..

I'd go to another dealer. My wife's had this issue.. 25 days at the dealer and bunch of replaced electronics and carpeting later things are fine. Just hope they stay that way.

Was she experiencing random electrical issues or did her engine shut down? The Recall seems to cover a situation like Greg had twice where the engine went into limp mode.
There is only one dealer in Idaho so not any choices for now. This winter I could try one in St George or Las Vegas.

Today I drove an hour with the AC on low, returned home and let it run another 30 minutes parked in my driveway with the windows down. The outside Temp averaged 77 to 81 and the Humidity is 41. There was not a drop of water anywhere at the end of the test. So the only possibility is that my AC Drain is plugged unless there is some type of catch container on each side....not very likely but possible. Any input would be helpful, I plan to visit the Dealer again soon. Does anyone know if Mercedes has some type of container to catch the condensation?

There is no catch pan of any kind, the condensation that collects on the evaporator find runs down into the bottom of the case and then is supposed to drip out through a hose, so yes, you should see water on the floor. If there is no humidity then it won't drip. There is also a little of the AC air that blows out that tube which helps push out the water. You need to get this fixed before you get water in the cabin. You might also check the cabin air filter while you're poking around. The drain holes should be under the right side of the car about where the dash meets the windshield. Get under there with a flashlight.

Thanks for the feedback. Are you describing a 2020 GLE? Another poster said the drain is on each side underneath and back a little from the front of the doors.
It’s too late for me, I have over 6300 miles and numerous ongoing random issues. There has never been a drop of water on my garage floor all summer after months of running the Air. Two dealer visits say they find no obstruction in the lines. I’m trying to build a case to present to dealer management or Mercedes.

I’ll photograph the drain holes today 👍 they are where I described them to be. Two of them, circular, and both drip water when I’ve got the A/C running.

I received a recall letter several weeks ago to address this issue. If you did not get a letter, go to the MB web site. There is a link (at the bottom I think) that will send you to a page to enter your VIN that will tell you of any recalls on your vehicle and their status.

I never saw water under mine. When I picked it up after service the paperwork said that they ran the AC on high for 10 minutes and a puddle of water appeared under the vehicle, so no further action was required. I now see a puddle every time. I don't believe them when they said that they did nothing!!!!!

Thanks, I got the Recall letter and knew of the problem a month earlier, so I requested the first AC Drain check in early July. If you are right (and they fixed the kink) then they should have inspected the Electronics and possibly replaced some damaged electrical parts. It’s like everything else, there are varying degrees of ability, work ethic and honesty. These cars are so complex that a Dealership may not have always have the most competent staff. My medium sized Dealer has Porsche and Mercedes so there are lots of models and two entirely different Brands!

Thanks for the very precise explanation and picture. This gives me something to discuss with the dealer. I found several possibilities but without a drip I couldn’t be sure which holes were the drain.

My GLE450 doesn't seem to have A/C drain holes? Did Mercedes forget to install the plastic cover on my car? Looking at Wiggis's photo it seems like there is a plastic cover with drain holes in them, but on my car it seems to be missing, does anyone know if this is normal?

Wow... ! You definitely appear to be missing some pretty significant underbody plastics... unless the build in Vancouver is very different than in the UK.

I would go to your local dealer and check out the showroom model as a comparison as a starting point.

Wiggis: Thank you very much for the photo!

Can North American GLE450 owners post their picture? I like to make sure this is not normal before I visit the dealer..
