I want to order a black on black GLE with Nappa leather. My 2 choices for the leather are black Nappa leather or Magma grey/black Nappa with diamond stitching. Can anyone tell me if the Magma grey option is a dark grey/charcoal. It looks to be very dark on the online configurator (which is what I want) plus I like the diamond stitching.

Thanks tommyr. From your photos in the interior photos sticky thread it looks like it is more of a grey leather color than charcoal/black. Therefore, I will go with the black exclusive Nappa leather.

That's how I would describe it. I think the seating area is gray, sooner trim areas are black.

I don’t think either option has Diamond stitching. The Magma gray has a quilted stitching (large squares).
Im not sure if you ordered the car yet. But we picked up my wife’s yesterday in the magna grey. It’s really nice! We were nervous but zero regrets. I’ll take a picture tmw in the light if you want.

Thanks for offering to take a picture of the Magma grey leather seats. I have an order in for a GLE 53 SUV with black Nappa leather. The dealershipship couldn't assure me that the Magma grey was dark grey/charcoal rather than some kind of lighter grey. I am getting a black exterior so I didn't want the Magma grey interior unless it is at least as dark as a charcoal grey color. The pictures of the Magma grey interior I have seen on this forum are not what I want.

I have the napa magma grey interior in my 450 (photos in interior stickie thread) and I would not call it a dark grey. Now I'm not sure if the material in the 53 is the same, so that's your call. My vehicle is silver, and I love the combo. But if you want dark, I think you could be disappointed.

I've got the magma grey/black performance seats with yellow accents/stitching in my C63S and they look phenomenal in person. Here are a couple of pics. The first one is under artifical light in my garage and it's a bit fade. The yellow really pops in person against the grey and black. The grey part is basically a few shades lighter than the black, but still pretty dark.
