Thumping in the driver side foot area

GLE Exclusive 2020
Thumping in the driver side foot area
Took the GLE out by myself and put the sound up to a level the wife wouldn't tolerate and found that the area of the pedals is vibrating. I kept turning the volume down but could still feel the thumping of the bass. Not really liking this at all since I do like a little volume on my tunes. Maybe using the balance to a biased rear speakers? Anyone feeling the music?

Maybe bass was turned up in the equalizer setting many dealers do that because people usually like to feel the base

There is a subwoofer there.... behind carpet in footwell.

I told the dealership the same thing and they say that it is normal. I hate the thumping there, takes me back when I was young had a crappy car with two 12” in the back. So distasteful.

I too find the vibrations from the subwoofer placement to be very annoying. You'd think they could have found a different spot for it.

There are 2 subwoofers built into the firewall, one on each side. I have the burmester and really like the sound quality - plenty of treble and midrange to go with that bass. If the bass is too much, turn it down on the audio page where you can set the bass, treble, and midrange gains.
