I’m at 1300KM . I’ve been doing a lot of long distance driving due to covid19, afraid to take high speed rail.. dealer told me if the active ride control was the culprit, they would swap a new one in for me, I am just debating whether to let them take apart my new car.. any thoughts anyone?

I personally went down to the car check every bolts before going to the dealer. If they willing to change out your Active ride way bar system that’s great. It’s fairly simple to access, 4 bolts on the subframe and the sway bar links only. Disconnect the wire to the electromagnetic looking thing that’s it.
Let me know how it goes, it’s good we share those info. My dealer also had another brand new 53 and he said both car making same noise, leads them to assume it’s normal. But told me to keep tracking

My dealer is struggling to find the problem. They are taking things apart and trying. So far no luck, it has been a week. I'm starting to ask for "B" plan, e.g. they take the car back and we order a new one....not 53.

Active Ride Control
"The AMG-specific dynamics configuration is greatly enhanced by the active roll stabilization system ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL with 48-volt power. This system precisely compensates for changes in vehicle movement. This ensures that even in sporty situations near the limits, the handling remains precisely controllable and extremely direct. The system uses two independently operating, electromechanical actuators at the front and rear axles, each with an integrated planetary gear. The stabilization system not only reduces body roll when cornering, but also allows for more precise tuning of the cornering and load cycle properties. In addition, it increases ride comfort when driving in a straight line, through balancing out one-sided road bumps, for example. Body movements can be actively adapted to the driving status, which intensifies the driving experience.
Another benefit compared with the usual hydraulic-based systems is a significantly faster response. The AMG control system can adapt the driving status to the conditions in a matter of milliseconds."

No clue, dealer said they've ordered the parts last week. I've seen few people reporting the issue, maybe there's a design flaw in the system, I wonder if there's a version 2 so to speak.

Hello all,
some good news. I got the car back. They replaced the rear actuator, the front one is on order (unknown delivery date due to disrupted supply chain). It is sooo much better now.

Some relief from cabin fever..

That’s great to hear. Did you talk to your dealer maybe they can notify MB so might do a re call or investigation on the unit.
I love the active roll control also
