I will have a test drive next week to see how big is the truck
I need to check how I can get into my garage knowing my street is a little bit narrow.
It won't be a 350de.
I have also test driven the A-Class Hatchback 250e for my wife and it's really pleasant.
GLC 300e is really confortable and nice but too short in electric range a too small regarding the trunk space.

I just had a test drive of a 300d to see how big is the car in the traffic. It's really easy to drive.
So I think it's going to be the right choice for me.

The updated configurator for the GLE '350de' AMG line has just been put online in France.
Little change: Thermotronic 3, white color 'optional' at 400 €, 8m charging cables at 100 €, increase in the base price of a GLE 350de by 400 €.
No shift of the date of manufacture for the moment.

What is the change on Thermotronic ? It’s still same price and still 4 zones.
HUD is also +100€.
e-abc is still available for 450.

good news. the manufacture of my gle 350 phev has been brought forward to aug 21. do you have an idea of ​​the transit time to bremmerhaven in germany and then in france?

What was your initial date of built ?
Mine is supposed to be 1st decade of October then delivery begging of December, but they commuted for late December due to Covid.
I think the real time of transportation is about 8 days of sea but you have to wait for the vessel and load it full. Then when it will arrive in Europe you will need more time for final check.
IMO after production the delay could be either 1 month to 2 for delivery.

I think the actual time ar sea (Brunswick-Bremerhaven) is about 14 days. It possible for the dealer to provide you with information on which cargo vessel the car is being shipped with så you can track it on Marine Traffic through AIS.

I will ask, but knowing that he didn’t wanted to give me the VIN to follow production on line i really doubt that he would like to do so

mon gle 350 phev a finalement été construit en avance le 19/08 et embarqué à Brunswick vers Bremerhaven le 25/08. je n’ai pas réussi à avoir le nom du bateau pour le suivre avec l’ais. Quelqu’un saurait il trouver le bateau qui est parti le 25/08 en soirée ?

@dthzo Did you received your GLE ?
@Lme Can you tell me if it's possible to define a charging time slot ? Is it possible to plug the car at 8:00pm but ask it to start at 10:30pm ? We have just received the A-Class 250e of my wife and there is not this option. Only pre-air conditioned is available to set an hour of departure.

I bought a charger that lets me choose when and how to charge. For instance I want the car to always charge to atleast 80% before 8 am. The charger then ‘smart charges’ when electricity is cheapest but always hits 80%.

I belive the Mercedes me app is the same all over the Mercedes range with some adjustments. Due to the grafic in the app I think this is an option in the future but not right now. The best and safest way to charge is a wallbox as HC Haugens says, I have that box to and is super easy to use and gives, in Norway, a 20% discount on the power if you let it charge during the cheapest hours. The charger provideded with the car is an «emergency» charger and not for everyday use.

I've got also a wallbox 7,4kWh that I use right now for le A-Class.
My callbox cannot be set-up to only deliver electricity on specific timeslot.
I found very weird that MB doesn't offer this set-up in the MBUX knowing it could be very easy to implement.
Problem also is the fact that if you want to update your MBUX it takes 4hours at your dealer's. It can't be done OTA which is a real pity.
Anyway they could implement this function only on the MercedesMe app ?

Mercedes use ME also on the EQC where its possible to set wanted state of charge. In my app I also se the 100% besides the battery grafic. I dont know where the function is, inte car or the app but my dealer said it will do so in the future.

In my second car, a Bmw i3 its the same, not possible to set max SoC.

I am still waiting for my new gle 350de. The gle ‘sails’ between Bremerhaven and France. Just a few more weeks to wait...

What is your delivery date ? Will it be a MY21 ?

We just checked with the sales manager. The GLE 350de has been in Bremerhaven since 27/09 for european controls and CE approval. Probably 2 or 3 weeks of waiting.

Ouch ! Too long ! Why they need so much time ? It’s not the first 350de that they see.
