Definitely a 7kW charger, The car and app say the car is fully charged.
Excuse me for posting the original message three times. This is like dealing with your DAD, I am at the wrong age for computers etc.

Hi,
I picked up my new GLE 350de Premium + about a week age.
There are some issues that I have found so far. The main one being is that I am only getting 37-39 miles on battery alone despite the hyped 65+. I fully charge the car from a dedicated PHEV 7kW charger always overnight.
The other things that I find strange is that a car costing nearly £70K you cannot get heated rear seats or a heated steering wheel, the latter I find a great asset in any car, my wife's Hyundai i10 has both.
I also miss the speed camera warning system not available, first car in a long time without it.
The car drives great and looks well inside and out but would I buy it again, afraid not especially because of the battery range.

I am not at all happy with my GLE 350de premium plus as I have had it back at the garage a number of times regarding the millage I am getting on battery power alone. It is around 37 miles (59km)even though I I am a very conservative driver..

I'm around 75km those days with winter tires (which are less efficient than the eco ones).
Also it really depends on your type of trip. The best thing to know if you have an issue with your battery pack is to check what is your consumption when you are driving full Elec.
If you have only very short trip with acceleration you can have a very high consumption like with a petrol car. The heating of the battery and of the car is also having a huge impact on repetitive short trip.
On an highway trip I already drove more than 100km on Electric mode, knowing than you can also grab a bit of recuperation.

What does your display indicate the range is when it is fully charged?
Thanks for the reply by the way.

I have tried it on long and short trips. With heating on/off. Everyway I could think of really. I had a Volvo XC90 T8 phev before this so therefore I am somewhat acquainted with what works and what does not. It always hovers around 39 miles.

My display indicates 53 miles (electric range) I have only had the car a week (also came from a T8) . I think you must have a duff battery. There is quite an active Facebook group set up by guy in UK. The Mercedes GLE350DE plug in hybrid group that would be worth you joining if you have not already.

Hi
I take delivery of GLE 350 de in a week or 2. It arrived to Bremerhaven from Brunswick 14 days a go and should be her I Norway soon. The dealer had a demo car in desember 2019 and I have tried it several times. Its a smooth ride with 320 hp and 700 nm, just the same as 400d, but you don't get the V6 sound. But for me its attractive to do almost 100 km WLTP electric. With my kind of driving I will only visit the pumps a few times pr year.
Norway is a strange country in several ways you might say, just as the car marked. Over 50 % of the sales the last year has been full electric cars and approx 25 % has been plug in hybrids. The plug in is best for me as I live in the northern part of Norway and its far between the charging points - yet. Its a good feeling, both for the environment and the ears. The 350 de is quiet, cheep to use and powerful on demand.
In Norway the 350 de is about 10000 euros cheeper than the 300d or 350, thus the car is approx 25000 euros more expensive in it self. Norway has almost no taxes on plugs with long electric range and full electric cars. So for me its a no-brainer!
